Erika Jayne Gets Festive Despite Claims She Embezzled Money From Orphans

Erika, who is in the middle of a massive lawsuit, showing off her extravagant Christmas hair seems wrong. As The Blast previously reported, Erika and her estranged husband Thomas Girardi were hit with a federal suit. The case was brought by a firm representing the families of plane crash victims. Thomas previously represented the families and won a settlement. The families say they weren't paid the entire settlement and accuse Thomas of using the money to fund his "lavish lifestyle" with Erika.

The suit read, "Tom has resorted to embezzling the proceeds of settlements that should have been directed to his clients -- including, as the basis for this Complaint, the widows and orphans who lost loved ones in the tragic crash of Lion Air Flight 610 -- in order to continue funding his and Erika’s lavish Beverly Hills lifestyles."

One creditor claims Thomas sent Erika nearly $20 million dollars to her entertainment company. They believe it was an attempt to hide their assets. At a recent court hearing, the judge found Thomas in contempt of court for failing to explain where his client's money went. The judge even referred the case to the District Attorney for possible criminal investigation.

Earlier this year, Erika filed for divorce from Thomas after 21 years of marriage. She is pleading with the court to award her spousal support. Thomas is fighting the request saying she should get no support.

The plaintiffs in the lawsuit believe the divorce is a "sham." The suit says the divorce is intended to hide assets from creditors including the widows and orphans that are owed settlement money.

The suit said, "While Erika publicly filed for divorce this month, on information and belief, that “divorce” is simply a sham attempt to fraudulently protect Tom’s and Erika’s money from those that seek to collect on debts owed by Tom and his law firm GK. This would not be the first attempt by Tom to hide and divert assets."

Earlier this month, Thomas's creditors forced him into Chapter 7 bankruptcy. The court will now appoint a trustee to manage his finances and figure out a way to pay back his debts. They will begin the process of seizing and selling off assets if needed. The case was filed by several creditors who accuse Thomas of owing them millions but refusing to pay up.

Erika has refused to say a word on the record about her alleged involvement in the situation. Instead, the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star has posted topless photo after topless photo on her Instagram.
