The Hollywood veteran has been vocal about her struggles following her heartbreaking ordeal with her alleged narcissistic ex-husband Tom Vitale. Since finalizing their divorce in 2022, the entertainer seems to enjoy her best days. 

The Food Network star recently marked a new age milestone by enjoying sweet tributes from her loved ones. Wolfgang Van Halen, her only child and son with the late rock star Eddie Van Halen, celebrated the Delaware native with a passionate declaration of love.

On April 23, the "One Day at a Time" actress honored her first birthday since the finalization of her divorce from Vitale in November. As this was a significant accomplishment in the TV personality's life, she commemorated the occasion with a reflective post.

Taking to Instagram, the celebrant shared a short clip set to the song "Grateful" by Connor Price and Callmestevieray. The video showed the mother-of-one twirling her suitcase around in a circle before ending the action with the luggage between her raised legs.

Although the Hollywood Walk of Fame honoree did not show her face, viewers could feel her excitement from how she eagerly shook her feet and played with her suitcase.

Bertinelli was thrilled to be in Europe, as the clip was decorated with geo-tags showing her arrival at an Amsterdam airport alongside the dancing text: "Happy Birthday to Me!"

In the post's caption, the "Hot in Cleveland" star subtly shaded her ex-husband while revealing that part of her birthday celebration involved visiting one of her favorite places to support her son's heavy metal career. 

"I am so over the moon grateful for my birthday this year! I have survived the hardest six years of my life, and now I'm in Amsterdam (one of my favorite places on earth with sweet special memories)," the 63-year-old gushed.

Sharing details about Wolfgang's upcoming performance, the proud mother penned: "And on Thursday, I get to watch my son open for Metallica! Life is good." Given her previous openness about the cons of her relationship with Vitale, fans were not surprised by her confession.

"So happy for you, Val. You deserve to be happy. Remember, on this road of life; there are no dead ends, or detours. May you find your road and a happy place. Much love from Portland, Oregon," an individual cheered the entertainer.

"Happy birthday Valerie! You deserve happiness and love. I hope your upcoming week goes amazing," another supporter chimed, while a third raved: "Have an amazing time & SMILE!! You deserve to have a great time!!"

Although the Mammoth WVH frontman did not express his love for his mother in the comment section of her post, the 32-year-old showed his support on his Instagram page. The bassist shared an adorable picture that flaunted his uncanny resemblance to the Food Network star.

The image showed the California native posing side-by-side with the "Valerie's Home Cooking" host. The duo was captured in a warm embrace with their heads touching as they flashed radiant smiles at the camera.

"Happy Birthday to the best mother I could ever ask for. Love you, Ma," the musician captioned the heartwarming post. His followers and bandmates also joined the artist to wish the culinary star the best day.

Amid her birthdate celebration, Bertinelli's public healing journey from her marriage to Vitale is not ending soon as she continues to inspire others.

Last month, The Blast reported that the 63-year-old addressed overcoming one's past to embrace a brighter future on her Instagram Story. Filming herself as she strolled through lush greenery while enjoying a clear blue sky, the TV personality raved about enjoying the beautiful weather before advising viewers to bear patience in times of difficulty. The mother-of-one said:

"No matter how bad the storm is, when that blue sky comes out and you kind of break through the crap, it’s so beautiful, it’s just so beautiful, and it almost makes the storm worth it."

The Hollywood veteran continued, "Yeah, the storm is worth it. Because you learn so much, you come out the other side, and you're like, 'Hey, I'm my knight in shining armor. I got through it.'"

Reminding her followers that they were stronger than they gave themselves credit for, the "Sydney" actress said: "You get through one hundred percent of the days you never think you're going to get through, right? Think about that."
