Verification / Fact-Checking Standards

The Blast is guided by standard and generally agreed upon journalist standards including fact-checking all reporting, and having senior editorial staff review and edit content. The Blast journalists have the primary responsibility for reporting and writing their stories. In most cases, our reporting is based on legally obtained court documents which are public records. In other cases, proper sourcing is included in each article based on reporting of other reputable and trusted news sources.

Corrections Policy

The Blast strives to be accurate and use fair and balanced reporting for all articles published. In the event we are asked to make a correction on the site, a thorough process is used to verify the information, and if necessary make the proper changes.
