Valerie Bertinelli Believes This Year Will Be Her BestĀ

Bertinelli is back with an optimistic message, and fans are undoubtedly interested. She took to her Instagram Story with a lengthy declaration about life, adding a side note for her followers to be their best selves this year.

The "Valerie's Home Cooking" host filmed herself walking amidst greenery and with the bright blue sky highlighting her face. She was dressed in a brown wool jacket over a black blouse paired with a burgundy beanie and patterned sunglasses.

Bertinelli began the first clip, saying, "It's such a freaking beautiful day, I don't know if you can see." She then turned the camera toward the sky, adding, "beautiful, that blue sky is." Looking for the right word to describe life, she contemplated using "great" before inspiring viewers some more.

"No matter how bad the storm is when that blue sky comes out and you kind of break through the crap, it's so beautiful, it's just so beautiful, and it almost makes the storm worth it."

She continued, "Yeah, the storm is worth it. Because you learn so much, and then you come out the other side, and you're like, 'Hey, I'm my knight in shining armor. I got through it.'" In the end, the 62-year-old dropped an insightful reminder for viewers, saying, "You get through one hundred percent of the days you never think you're gonna get through, right, think about that.'"

She did not stop there but went on in a second video declaring that that was her thought for the "glorious, glorious day." Bertinelli further stated, "You know what, it's a glorious life. I'll take all the bad and sh*t year that I had last year, the highest of my worst. I would take it because this feels like it's gonna be my best year."

She then added, "It just feels so good. I hope you all are feeling that too. You go out there, and you have yourself a good year. Do you hear me? I love you." While viewers do not know explicitly why the "One Day at a Time" actress had a difficult 2022, they know how she was emotionally abused during her marriage to Vitale, which she opened up about last month.

As The Blast reported, she uploaded an Instagram reel where she spoke of a "small hidden bruise" she once had that was triggered at the time. Bertinelli revealed that she stopped wearing a particular set of pants because she was told and mocked countless times for being "too lazy" to do anything about her rubbing thighs.

Fans could hear the rubbing sound in the clip as she wore the same trousers. And although she left the mockery in the past, labeling it irrelevant, she had to cope with the "hidden bruises" whenever they got activated.

Nevertheless, the "Touched by an Angel" star was glad that her healing journey was going well and she could wear the pants despite the rubbing, which she called the "sound of freedom."

Bertinelli has never shied away from speaking the alleged truth about her former spouse Vitale whom she described as a "narcissist."

However, the businessman eventually broke his silence about the label earlier this month via a clip where he was asked, "Now that your divorce with Valerie is over, the settlement's done. She called you a narcissist. What do you think about that?"

Vitale threw the question back at the paparazzi before laughing it off as a joke and walking away to avoid more questions.

The 59-year-old was not let go easily, so he told the journalist, "You know what I do? I work hard. I have a lot of fun," after which he advised them to do the same.
