Actor Chet Hanks seems to be in some self-care groove! 

The third child of Hollywood legend Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, has been in and out of several online controversies. From speaking in a Jamaican accent to specific cultural appropriations, this particular Hanks keeps tongues wagging. 

However, it looks as though the "Greyhound" actor is taking time off the headlines to self-reflect.

Chet Hanks Shares Some Motivation With His Fans 

The aspiring rapper shared his wise words to his 534 thousand fans on Instagram without using his mock Jamaican accent. The clip unveiled the actor in his car, dressed in a casual shirt; a hat turned backward, and a pair of sunglasses. From his relaxed state, he appeared to have been doing many reflections and spilling his realization. 

He said, "Sometimes you just gotta go on a long walk or a hike, whatever by yourself. And talk out loud to yourself the whole time. Just start it off with 'Hey, man. It's been a minute. How come it's been so long since we kicked it?'"

He added, "Just go wherever the conversation takes you but get it all out. Get it all off your chest. Talk to yourself. "

Chet, who had tried his advice, assured his fans of an outstanding result. He said, "And I guarantee you that by the end of that conversation, you're not going to feel like you're walking alone. You're going to feel like you're walking with the king. Going to feel like you've been kicking it with your best friend." 

The "Bratz" star urged his fans to try his magic trick, highlighting that one's mindset plays an important role. The young actor says, "Everything is how we talk to ourselves. Our self-talk and our mindset are everything."

The "Shameless" actor has been having lots of self-reflection lately and is tired of people crediting his success to his repo baby status. Last month, he lamented about his achievements being credited to his dad.

In his update, he cried, "I bought the Lambo; they said my dad bought it for me. I almost fought with a bum at IHOP, and they say I staged it. It's like I could come up with a cure for cancer tomorrow, and they'll say that I only did it because of my dad."

Chet emphatically stated that he has been living under his dad's shadow. However, he's learning how to manage it. He says, "The way I've learned to deal with this frustration is to just, you know, light some sage, meditate, journal, go for a walk, and take a deep breath in."

The 'Shameless' Actor Credited Himself For Popularizing Jamaican Patois

Thankfully, the "White Boy Summer" rapper is taking time to practice self-care and meditation after stirring controversies. One such dispute The Blast reported was Hanks crediting himself for popularizing Jamaican patois.

It followed that the "Empire" actor appeared on Ziwe Fumudoh's HBO talk show, where he talked about his music and his life. During the show, Ziwe asked the budding rapper if he still believes he "inspired" white boys to speak Patois. 

Hanks replied, "I don't know… I think I made the Patois accent a little more… trending, I guess?" He added, "I was the first person to get it in the conversation. Like just recent times."

The interview became more interesting when host Ziwe decided to explore Hanks' knowledge of the language. The host asked" The Fantastic Four" actor if he knew the Jamaican slang "Small yourself up" meant. 

A confused Hanks expressed he didn't know what it meant. Hanks responded with a string of "I don't know" when Ziwe asked him about more slang. The actor's lack of answers prompted the host to ask, "Do you even speak Patois?" He candidly replied, "No," and confessed that he only knew one or two slang.

The Nigerian-born host asked the budding musician if he knew his song "White Boy Summer" was offensive. And the 32-year-old actor didn't respond positively; he said he decided to make the song after getting a "fresh ass haircut."

Before the conversation ended, the talk show host asked the rapper if he wanted to apologize to any "Marginalized communities." Hanks replied, "No," adding that he doesn't think he's "done anything offensive."
