Another 'Corntastic' Moment For Tariq Winning A Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award!

Tariq's "corntastic" adventure is far from over!
Otherwise known as the Corn Kid, Tariq has been living it up since going viral on social media for his interview about loving corn. After months of exciting moments and events, he can now add being awarded a "Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards" blimp to his list of "cornawesome" memories.
Corn Kid Gets A 2023 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award
In a clip shared on Corn Kid's parent-run TikTok page, viewers got the chance to witness Tariq accepting his "2023 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice" award. When asked how it feels to win this award, the 7-year-old replied, "Awesome! I want to say thanks to corn and my family; my mom, dad and grandma," he said as he held onto his award. "I want to say thanks to you for supporting me."
After thanking everyone he wanted to, he couldn't wait to get slimed with the traditional Nickelodeon green slime. He also made sure to thanks a few others in the caption of his TikTok clip. "Thank you to Recess Therapy, my family, the Gregory Brothers, my followers, Nickelodeon, and everyone near and far," the caption reads.

Some of Corn Kid's loyal fans and followers took to the comment section to congratulate him on his big win. Schmoyoho, who created the "Corn Song" from Tariq's first viral interview, left the comment, "omg, well-deserved—being slimed is the highest honor." Corn Kid replied, "Thank you so much? wished we could be slimed together." Nickelodeon dropped a simple heart hands emoji into the comment section.
One follower pointed out, "Of course he thanked corn first ??," and another person added, "That’s outstanding! Congrats Tariq!" Many others simply congratulated him for his big Nickelodeon moment.
The dream come true kind of moments didn't end there. Corn Kid also got to meet Tom Kenny, the voice of Spongebob. Tariq shared a TikTok Story documenting his exciting meeting. Tariq Shared His Exciting Invitation To The "Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards" With TikTok
Tariq recently shared the moment he unboxed his "Kids' Choice Awards" invitation in a video on TikTok. "It’s saying, ‘Your wildest dreams have come true. Open the can and reach in for the slime of your life,'” he said just before sticking his hand into the can of green slime and pulling out the invitation.
“You’re invited to the 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, Saturday, March 4,” he said enthusiastically. “Thanks, Kids’ Choice Awards.”
Nickelodeon left a simple comment for Tariq, "?."
Corn Kid's Adventure Has Been Anything But Boring
Since becoming a viral sensation last summer, Tariq has been on the ride of his life.
What started out as a simple interview with “Recess Therapy” on a New York City playground last summer, has turned into a wild adventure for Tariq. His love of corn has kept him on a wild journey filled with "corntastic" moments and tons of fun.
In addition to the viral interview, there's been a song, a collaboration with MrBeast more than once, a visit to American Dream, riding a float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, interviews with Drew Barrymore, Savannah Guthrie, Kenan Thompson and Kevin Hart, and being named the "Corn-bassador" of South Dakota. Now Tariq can add a "Kids' Choice" award and appearance on the awards show to his never-ending list of accomplishments.
The "Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2023 airs at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 4.
