Snooki Tells Her Kids 'Jersey Shore' Made Her Act The Way She Did, 'I'm A Paid Actress'

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and her husband Jionni LaValle have three children together -- Giovanna, 7, and Lorenzo, 10, and Angelo, 3.
Although Snooki rose to fame thanks to the role she played on MTV's "Jersey Shore," she never wants her kids to watch the reality television show -- for good reasons.
Snooki Forbids Her Kids From Watching "Jersey Shore"
In 2009, MTV’s “Jersey Shore” took over as Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi, DJ Pauly D, Jenni ‘JWOWW’ Farley, Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino, Angelina Pivarnick, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Vinny Guadagnino, and Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola stayed in a beach house together on the Jersey Shore — all meeting for the first time. The series went on for six seasons and is currently on season five of the spin-off, “Jersey Shore Family Vacation”.
Although "Jersey Shore" is the reason Snooki got her name, she will never allow her children to watch the show because it's "weird."
"Even if they're 30, I'm like, I don't want you watching that. It's weird," she admitted. "I mean, even now my kids are 10 and 8 and they're on TikTok and they see old clips and stuff. So they're like, 'Mommy, what are you doing here?' And I'm just like, 'Mommy's a paid actress. They made me do that.'"
Snooki Views "Jersey Shore" Differently as a Mom
When the first season of "Jersey Shore" debuted, Snooki was 22. Still living in her early adulthood, the cast member acted out and drank a lot. One scene from the show even shows her walking down the boardwalk, causing a scene extremely obliterated, ultimately being taken away by police.
Other scenes show Snooki making out with guys, even getting them into bed with her. And that is something she is not comfortable with her kids seeing.
"Looking back as a mom, I'm like, crap, my kids might see this one day meeting their father at the club and then bringing him home," she says. "You see us in bed. I hope they don't see that stuff."
"When they get older, they'll understand it," she continued. "They're like, 'Mom, you're just crazy.' They already know me by now that I'm crazy and they love me for it. There's a couple of things that I wish weren't on forever so my kids wouldn't see it, but it is what it is."
Snooki's Life Outside of "Jersey Shore"
When the reality television star isn't filming the spin-off show, “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation”, she loves spending time with her family -- husband Jionni LaValle, daughter Giovanna, and sons Lorenzo and Angelo.
"I just love staying at home and relaxing on the couch and all watching a movie together," she told PEOPLE. "I feel like in general, we're so busy running around at school and sports and everything. So when we do have those moments where we're all on the couch together as a family, just watching a movie, it's my best time."
Her kids recently went back to school, which was a hard time for the "Jersey Shore" star. "BACK TO SCHOOL 🎉 for my babies!!!!! BRB crying," she wrote on Instagram.
