Mindy Kaling Surprises Fans With Announcement Of 3rd Baby!

Mindy Kaling is now a mom of three, and has secretly been for months!

The "Mindy Project" star welcomed her third child earlier this year after keeping her entire pregnancy a secret. Now months after her second daughter's birth, she's letting the world know!

Kaling recently shared the news of her third child's arrival on her Instagram page with a carousel of photos captioned, "In late February I gave birth to my daughter, Anne. She’s the best birthday present I could’ve ever imagined."

Her caption also explained that she's doing it by herself on her own "timeline."

"When things are hard, whenever I veer towards cynicism, my three kids are such a great reminder of the pure joy in my life," she wrote. "I’m so lucky I live in a place where I could do this by myself, on my own timeline. Thanks for all the birthday wishes!"

Kaling is also mom to daughter Katherine "Kit," 6, and son Spencer, 3. Kaling has never revealed the identity of the father of her children.

It appears that Kaling is "stealthy" when it comes to her pregnancies. Many of her fans and followers dropped into the comments of her baby announcement to share how they are impressed with how she keeps it quiet for so long.

"The way you’ve shocked us 3 times with 3 different kids! CONGRATULATIONS!!!" one fan wrote. Another said, "Queen of secretly giving birth." One other fan wrote, "You are stealthy with your pregnancies!!"

And there are more comments with the same vibe where those came from!

"Amazing!!!!! Our surprise 'I had a baby 6 mos ago' announcement queen!!!!! Sending so much love!" one person wrote. Another shared, "How does one have three whole children without being seen in public pregnant?"

While secretly pregnant and after giving birth to her third child, Kaling was still sharing photos and videos on social media, which is probably why so many were shocked to hear about her new bundle of joy.

She also stayed working on "Running Point," her pro basketball front office comedy series starring Kate Hudson while quietly expecting.

Not a single photo on Instagram would make anyone wonder if the actress was expecting a third child, and according to the comment section of her announcement, her fans agree.

"You are a social media ninja!!!" one Instagram follower wrote in her baby announcement post. Another shared, "Looking back there are pix from January and she is clearly not preggers."

While Kaling has stayed quiet about the identity of her children's father, many fans seem to believe her former costar and ex-boyfriend B.J. Novak could be the one! The two dated on and off while working together on "The Office" and have remained close friends ever since.

During an appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show" back in 2022, talk of Novak entered the chat.

"He is a wonderful friend and he is the godparent of both my kids and he loves children and they're so attached to him," Kaling told Barrymore.

"He's really part of our family, but we've known each other for a long, long time and I think anyone who's been friends with someone for 18, 19 years and at one point dated and now doesn't, they maybe understand this. You have exes that you wouldn't necessarily marry now."

Kaling and Novak's close friendship has been no secret. In 2022, she shared photos of them taking her kids to stargaze at Griffith Observatory.

"My four-year-old had the best night of her life at our star party + Saturn spotting at @griffithobservatory," Kaling captioned her photos on Instagram. "We kept her up way past her bedtime and it was worth it, even though it was cloudy last night."

The two sharing an evening with her kids together sparked up more speculation about their relationship and if there's a chance Novak could be her kids' father.

"I know we're supposed to have moved on from this or whatever but you can't convince me B.J. is not Mindy's baby daddy," one person shared in the comments. Another said, "When are you and B.J. Novak going to finally reveal your romance and love child? I can't take it."
