Valerie Bertinelli Sends Encouraging Message To Fellow Narcissistic Abuse Survivors

The 63-year-old recently went on her Instagram Story with a reel from The Rising Wonder Woman's feed, conveying an enlightening message about narcissistic abuse. The note read, "I get it. Actual survivors of narcissistic abuse aren't depressed; they just need 2-3 years to regulate their nervous system, which looks like depression."

Bertinelli agreed with the statement as she added a reassuring message to victims and survivors of narcissistic abuse: "Keep doing your internal work. It's so beautiful on the other side!"

Given the "Hot in Cleveland" actress's experience with Vitale, she is in no rush to return to the dating scene despite being over six months since the exes' divorce was finalized. In addition, she was first married to Eddie Van Halen, the father of her son Wolfgang, before they separated in 2001 and divorced six years later.

Earlier this week, the "One Day At a Time" alum informed her fans of her disinterest in romance using a TikTok video featuring BoyWithUke's 2021 song, "Two Moons."  Parts of the clip were covered with, "When someone asks if I'll start dating soon," and in response to the statement, Bertinelli paused briefly before lip-synching, "Yeah, f**k no."

Over 93k TikTok users were taken with the post as they showered it with likes, while a few headed to the comment section to praise the "Valerie's Home Cooking" star. One fan agreed with her declaration as they wrote, "D. I. T. T. O.," adding multiple laughing emojis. A second follower remarked that they could not agree more before a third exclaimed, "Enjoy your life, Valerie! F**k these men."

The SAG Award Nominee Spoke On Getting Through The Storm In 2022 & Learning 'So Much'

Although Bertinelli did not have the best 2022, she still had the perfect words of motivation for her followers while affirming that 2023 would be her best year yet. As The Blast reported, back in March, she uploaded a long Insta Story video of herself walking in the woods in a black top underneath a brown wool jacket and completed with a burgundy beanie and patterned sunglasses.

The "Touched by an Angel" star started by noting how "freaking" beautiful the day was, particularly the blue sky to which she turned the camera. She then described life as "great" before telling viewers that the blue sky came out irrespective of how bad the storm got, implying that people would "break through the crap" with time, no matter the circumstances.

Bertinelli further said, "Yeah, the storm is worth it. Because you learn so much, you come out the other side, like, 'Hey, I'm my knight in shining armor. I got through it.'" Rounding off the update, she reminded her fans that people were more likely to overcome most of the days they never believed they would ever get through.

The two-time Golden Globe Awards recipient continued her preaching in a second video, stating that she would take all the negative from 2022 because she felt positive about 2023.

She said, "You know what? It's a glorious life. I'll take all the bad and sh*t year I had last year, the worst of my worst. I would take it because this feels like it's going to be my best year."

She added that it felt "so good" and hoped viewers felt the same. Ultimately, she urged them to go out there and have "a good year" before sending her love.
