Chopra, during the interview, dropped her two cents about the dreadful period, saying, "I don't think it was our test. I think it was her test."
The Indian native then disclosed that she experienced a rollercoaster of emotions when her daughter left the NICU and came home — one of which was the constant anxiety she had because of the absence of the monitors that had constantly reassured her daughter was breathing.
The former pageant queen talked about feeling sleep-deprived because she had to check if her daughter was breathing fine constantly. She explained, "I used to put my ear on her chest. I would wake up every few minutes to see if she was OK. For weeks, this went on."
Chopra Said Freezing Her Eggs Gave Her Freedom And Choice
Before she knew she would start a family with the "Jealous" singer, the actress decided to freeze her eggs at age 35 to focus on her career. This empowering experience has made her lend her voice to support women who choose to freeze their eggs.
During an "Armchair Expert" podcast episode, she disclosed that she felt such "freedom" when deciding. In the "Baywatch" actress' words, "I did it in my early 30s. I could continue on an ambitious warpath that I wanted to achieve. I wanted to get to a certain place in my career."
"The White Tiger" actress also dished the anxiety-inducing pressure of being in her 30s without a suitable partner before she found love with Jonas.
"I also hadn'thadn't met the person I wanted to have children with, or I didn't-didn't see that. That's anxiety-inducing. [I was] 35, and my mom's an OB-GYN who's 36 — Do it." She added, "It gets so much harder to get pregnant after 35 and to carry to term and all of that, especially with women that have been working all their lives."
However, the "Citadel" actress believes that science through freezing eggs has given women the "best gift" as they get to control their biological clock. "You can work until however long you want. Your eggs will still be the same age as when you froze them," she concluded.
