Priyanka Chopra Jonas is reminiscing her daughter's time in the neonatal intensive care unit.

The actress and her husband, singer Nick Jonas, welcomed their first child in January 2022 via surrogate. Although the couple kept the details of Malti's birth under wraps, Priyanka has now opened up about the scary moments she faced.

The 40-year-old opened up about her terrifying experience when she learned her baby was arriving earlier than expected. She recalls Nick holding her by her shoulders and feeling lost, not knowing what to do.

In an interview with TODAY, the "Quantico" star shared the details of the moment, saying that her beau had instructed her, "Just get into the car with me." She added, "And we drove to the hospital. She was born, and from the moment she took her first breath to now, she's never been without one of us."

During the harrowing days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), the worried parents took turns being with their little ones. They would hold her close to their skin or watch closely as the NICU nurses cared for her.

She shared her thoughts about those dark days and said, "I don't think it was our test. I think it was her test." She noted that she could not afford to be scared or weak as a mother, adding, "And I had to be her strength as her mom. I needed to make her feel at every moment that she's not aloneā€¦that we've got her."

The producer disclosed that she experienced a rollercoaster of emotions when she brought her daughter, Malti, home from the NICU. She revealed that the absence of the monitors that had constantly reassured her during her baby girl's hospital stay made her anxious.

The former pageant queen recalled feeling sleep-deprived and constantly checking on her daughter to ensure she was breathing fine. She explained, "I used to put my ear on her chest. I would wake up every few minutes to see if she was OK. For weeks, this went on."

The lovebirds have been giving primary couple goals since they started dating in 2018, and the actress took it one step further by showing unwavering support for her beau during his performance in Vegas.

The images showed the couple donning matching black outfits, with Priyanka adding a shimmery metallic dress, fur coat, black stilettos, and red lipstick to her look. At the same time, the 30-year-old sported a shiny shirt, leather pants, a wristwatch, and a ring.

In the first two images, they posed together in a tight embrace before closing their eyes and smiling at each other in the fourth. She captioned the post, writing, "You are the wings I need to fly away."

The "Aitraaz" star is not the only one who loves to show off her partner. The actor also loves to express his admiration for his beautiful wife, with whom he has been married for four years and four months.

Last week, The Blast shared that after the couple's stylish appearance at the premiere of Priyanka's new series "Citadel," the former Disney star took to social media to rave about her stunning look.

He even dedicated one of his old songs to convey his obsession with her beauty. He shared a sweet Instagram reel of his gorgeous wife in a red dress, set to the Jonas Brothers' hit song "Burnin' Up."

The clip showed the dark-haired beauty posing in a brightly lit corridor and front of the "Citadel" decor while Nick filmed her in the background and wiggled his eyebrows. Captioned "#RedDress," the video ended with more shots of the mother-of-one on the blue carpet.
