Britney Spears Allegedly Consumes Coffee and Energy Drinks 'Non-Stop'

Singer Britney Spears allegedly can't put down the coffee!

The 41-year-old pop star made it no secret that her family did not allow her to drink coffee during her 13-year conservatorship and it appears that she is now making up for lost time, as a source revealed that the "Hold Me Closer" singer is consuming coffee and energy drinks "non-stop."

On Wednesday, TMZ was the first to report that the “Oops!... I Did It Again” singer consumes caffeine drinks “by the gallon.” However, the outlet noted that experts say that this is “unsurprising for people with mental illnesses.” Dr. Drew told TMZ that although it’s not “particularly healthy” to be drinking so much caffeine, people “with mental illnesses crave the high from these drinks.”

Insiders told the outlet that the 41-year-old singer consumes coffee, Red Bull, Celsius, and dandelion tea (which is said to produce a diuretic effect) “almost nonstop.” The sources went on to say that she has stayed awake for as long as three consecutive days from all of the caffeine that she is drinking.

In the caption of an Instagram post from September 2022, the "Toxic" singer opened up about the alleged abuse she claims she suffered under her 13-year conservatorship, which started in February 2008 and was struck down by a judge in November 2021.

“It’s extremely hard for me to accept the fact that my family did that to me … it will be hard for me for the rest of my life ? … as for my Mom and Dad who sat back and hid coffee from me at the house to wake me up from feeling dead and scared like an old lady … and threw me away … I will say it loud and proud … I pray you both burn in h—,” she wrote, referring to both of her parents.

Britney addressed her mother, Lynne Spears, in another Instagram post from July 2022.  “Did you also tell people how you hid coffee every single morning ???” Britney asked, going on to say that there were no pictures of her hanging in the kitchen of her family home.

“Did you tell them every morning when I would try to find coffee there were no pictures of me up in the kitchen, just Maddie and Jamie Lynn ????” she asked. “Every single morning I would put a picture of me by you guys … and every morning you would put it away before I woke up !!!”

“Anyway … I wanted to just let people KNOW I CARE !!! AND I’M SO SORRY !!!” Britney wrote in an Instagram post in April 2022 after taking aim at her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, and her memoir. “My mom and sister also did the ‘intellectual approach’ in indulgence by writing their own books as I couldn’t even get a cup of coffee or drive my car or really anything !!!”

In yet another Instagram post from December 2021, shortly after her 40th birthday, the "Slumber Party" singer talked about the "glow" that she gets from coffee. “Right when I put my makeup on … nope it wasn’t the foundation … it wasn’t the mascara … it wasn’t the two extra hours of sleep … it wasn’t the blush … the glow on my beautiful face and widening of my eyes just a bit more … well it was the coffee !!!!!”

TMZ has created a new special called “Britney Spears: The Price of Freedom” that will air on Monday, May 15, at 9 PM ET on Fox. This new special will focus on the past year and a half of Britney’s life, ever since she was freed from her controversial conservatorship.

The special is reported to take a deep dive into Britney’s marriage to Iranian actor Sam Asghari, plans for an intervention that never came to fruition, and her mental health. According to a press release, the special will “reveal concern among those closest to her that she’s a danger to herself and others,” amid allegations that Britney was not allowed to handle knives during her conservatorship.

TMZ’s managing editor Fabian Garcia claimed that Britney once “got physical” with Sam. Executive producer Harvey Levin echoed similar concerns about the pop star’s marriage, saying that it was in “deep trouble.” This news comes shortly after both stars were photographed without their wedding rings.
