Robert And Bindi Irwin Share Tributes To Their Late Father On His Birthday

Bindi and Robert Irwin are remembering their late father, Steve, on what would have been his 61st birthday with loving tributes on Instagram.

"Happy Birthday, Dad. Thank you for instilling a love for all species, courage to follow my heart and determination to make a difference in the world for wildlife and wild places," Bindi, 24, began her sweet caption. "Your legacy lives on and the world is forever changed because of your dedication to conservation. Mum, Robert and I love and miss you so much."

More than 1,000 people took to the comment section to leave messages of love and support, and let Bindi know that her father is missed by many.

"Happy Birthday Steve ❤️ he is the reason I love animals oh so much and pursued a degree in biology," one person wrote.

"We all miss your Dad! It’s not wrong to say millions of us all around the world grew up watching him on TV. Steve Irwin gave so many of us a new perspective on wildlife and often, how misunderstood it is. A hugely missed man, a tragedy he was taken so young, but it’s so inspiring to see his message and work carried on through his family. Hope to visit the Zoo one day," said another.

One fan wrote about remembering when Bindi was born. "I remember watching his TV show as a little girl, and my favorite episode was always the one where you were born! Both him and your mom were so thrilled. It still warms my heart when I think about it ❤️."

Many fans wrote about how the Irwin family is continuing Steve's legacy so wonderfully. "Happy birthday, Steve! I can still hear you say "Crikey!" and it warms my heart. Thank you for everything you did. Your family is doing an amazing job continuing the family legacy ❤️," said one follower.

Robert, 19, also shared a loving tribute to his father on his birthday with a simple caption, "Happy birthday, Dad ❤️"

Bindi commented on the adorable photo, "So much love ❤️." One fan commented, "The world misses your father Robert. He did amazing work. I know he’s looking down with the biggest smile saying 'look at my kids!!'"

Another follower added a sweet memory of when Robert was born. "I will never forget the day Robert was born and Steve proudly held him up to the camera. He was so proud of His wife, Robert and Bindi... He would have been even more so today. You're doing a great job and gave Steve a great gift. I could cry, he's just missing. Robert also shared another photo of him with his father in an Instagram Story captioned with a simple red heart.

The siblings often share photos and tributes to their late dad, The Crocodile Hunter. Along with their mom Terri and Bindi's husband Chandler, the family works hard to keep Steve's legacy and missions alive and well.

And for Bindi and Chandler's daughter Grace, 2, they make sure to include "Grandpa Crocodile" in her daily life.

"On every zoo walk she searches for pictures of her grandparents and it is beyond beautiful," Bindi wrote in the caption of the sweet video of Grace looking at a photo of her grandparents.

The Australia Zoo commented, "Gets us every time❤️" and Wildlife Warriors Worldwide added, "Now we’re crying too."
