"The Talk" is giving viewers something new!

Although the CBS daytime gabfest has had a controversial 12 months and endured a revolving door of hosts, it made a banging return for its 13th season on Monday. The show's current hosts — Amanda Kloots, Akbar Gbajabiamila, Natalie Morales, Jerry O'Connell, and Sheryl Underwood — were all on-ground to kick off a new era with a carnival and a new theme song.

Fans of "The Talk" were beyond thrilled when Kloots took to her Instagram Story to share an update with them. The dancer first uploaded a picture of a blue and white striped circus tent with the caption, "First day back to work today @thetalkcbs for Season 13!1!!! Soooo many fun things in store!"

Next, the mother-of-one provided a sneak peek of the show's new theme song being performed by singer-songwriter Andy Grammer. The 38-year-old is heard belting out "you and me need some company" on a stage as the "The Talk" hosts danced along.

Kloots added an Instagram reel that showed her and her co-hosts having a good time, cheering each other on, riding the roller coaster, and playing carnival games. The clip, supported by Grammer's "Joy" in the background, closed off with the daytime show's hosts posing for pictures.

Along with its 75k plays, the post has received 2k likes and several comments. While some people congratulated the wife of the late actor Nick Cordero, others were obsessed with her dress. The sleeveless, flare dress is eye-catching in black, pink, blue, and brown colors. The above-the-knee outfit is paired with low-heeled slippers, a tiny neckpiece, and a few statement bracelets.

Although the entire look is minimal, it seemed very fitting for the festivities that kicked off "The Talk," especially after the year they have had. More so, not many fans expected the show to return after one of its longtime hosts, Sharon Osbourne, got fired. Thus, even for the remaining hosts, it was shocking when news of the Emmy-winning show making a season 13 comeback hit the airwaves.

Per a report from TV Series Finale, Morales announced, "The producers are just telling me there is some breaking news. This is just coming in right now, 'The Talk' has been renewed for Season 13," while the show was on the air. The announcement birthed some cheers and confetti spraying, after which Gbajabiamila reacted, "That was crazy; this feels so good." Even O'Connell joked that he now understood "why all our bosses showed up today."

Sharon Osbourne Gets In Trouble Over Racist Comments

Although it has been over a year since Osbourne's exit from "The Talk," the former co-host's drama concerning the show remains unending. The Blast reported in April that the TV host opened up about the emotional torture she entered due to the scandal that led to her dismissal from the show in March 2021.

In case you missed it, trouble started for the former "America's Got Talent" judge after she and the women of "The Talk" conversated about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey and Piers Morgan's outburst about the duchess' suicide claim.

Osbourne stated that even though she was not entirely supporting Morgan's take, she was standing with her friend. That retort led to a heated argument between her and Underwood.

Things became even worse when viewers refused to see her angle and labeled her a racist, leading to her resignation from the show. Over a year later, Osbourne sat for an interview where she claimed to have received death threats from critics. In her words, the threats included claims that individuals would come in the night, and slit her, her husband, Ozzy, and their dogs' throats. The mother-of-three added:

"I said, ‘I ain’t going out, I ain’t doing anything.’ I just couldn’t stop crying because all I was thinking about was all the things that I’ve gone through in my life, and now they’re calling me a racist. This is insanity!"

The incessant trolling and threats put Osbourne in a constant state of fear, prompting her to hire private security who protect her and her loved ones. However, the security upgrade did nothing to stop the severe mental setbacks she suffered, eventually resorting to ketamine therapy for her sanity.

Although ketamine is a drug used to sedate animals and humans, it has started circulating towards helping those with serious mental illness and has tried other medications without any relief.
