Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne are moving away from the United States. The longtime couple has disclosed their plans to return to their native United Kingdom, where they own a Buckinghamshire house.

Although many assumed that the reason for the relocation was Ozzy's health, the pair have come out to debunk that rumor. The rock-and-roll duo, who have resided in Beverly Hills for more than 25 years, highlighted the country's history of gun violence as their reason for leaving.

For many, moving away from the place they have become accustomed to might come with some hesitation. However, that does not seem to be the case with Ozzy and Sharon. The couple spoke extensively on their relocation plans during an interview with The Observer on Sunday. Sharon, for one, ensured it was clear to the interviewer and her fans that she and her husband were not leaving the States due to his ailment. In her words:

"I knew people would think that. It's not. It's just time. America has changed so drastically. It isn't the United States of America at all. Nothing's united about it. It's a very weird place to live right now."

Ozzy drove that point home by stating he was "fed up with people getting killed every day." He said that only God knew how many people have been shot in school shootings and the mass shooting at a Las Vegas concert.  The 73-year-old added that he had no intentions of dying in Los Angeles, where he would be buried at a celebrity cemetery.

He noted that even if his wife asked them to "go and live in Timbuktu," he would go because it was just time for him "to come home." Sharon and Ozzy had previously blamed the fast-rising tax rates in the U.S. as the reason for getting out of there. Despite their plans to leave in February 2023, the pair are confident that Ozzy will still go on tour— at least once.

The singer-songwriter claimed he would give fans another tour even if "I have to go up there and die on the first song." Hopefully, concertgoers will see this manifest without any disruptions from his health challenges. In case you missed it, The "Ghostbusters" star was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2019. Additionally, he has suffered two accidents that affected his back and spine, prompting him to have numerous surgeries.

The "Behind the Wall of Sleep" singer's drug and alcohol abuse has also been the talk of many news outlets. Osbourne's drug use made the headlines again when he disclosed the acid trip that made him vow never to indulge in it again. The Blast shared that the rock star recounted that at the time of the incident, it was not a big deal for people to "lace" their drinks with acid. And since he was a heavy user who "used to swallow handfuls of tabs at a time," he had no issue with it.

However, he had to give it all up after he returned to England following a trip. Osbourne claimed he took ten tabs of acid before going for a walk in a field when he ended up talking to "this horse for about an hour." The "It's a Raid" hitmaker further explained that after the long conversation he could not recall, the horse turned around and told him "to f**k off. That was it for me." Osbourne has not gone near the class A drug again.

The Osbournes' Marriage Clocked 40 Years This Year

The Osbournes' love has remained evident amid the many troubles trailing their lives. In fact, nothing else seemed to matter to the pair as they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in July.

The Blast noted that the duo marked the remarkable milestone with social media posts. While Ozzy posted a picture of himself and his bride donning white outfits for their wedding day, his 69-year-old wife opted for a photo of herself and her man in a matching all-black ensemble.
