Another cool bit of the performance came from the fact that Paul McCartney got John Lennon to perform with him, virtually of course.

He sang a duet with the late Beatles member by isolating his solo vocals, from "I've Got A Feeling". McCartney introduced the track, saying, “I’ve got a special little thing here. One day, Peter Jackson rings me up and says he can take John’s vocals and isolate them so that you can play live with Kohn on tour. He said, do you fancy that? That’s so special for me man. I know it’s virtual but come on – it’s John. We’re back together.”

He also performed hits like "I Saw Her Standing There", "Band on the Run", "Glory Days", and "I Wanna Be Your Man", made all the more special when he brought Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and rock veteran Bruce Springsteen to delight the audience at Glastonbury.

Why are people complaining that Paul McCartney is playing songs they don’t recognize. He has a back catalog going back more than 60 years, he can’t please everyone. Also, he’s 80 years old and smashing it, so fuck off! #Glastonbury

He also played a clip of Johnny Depp during his set when he sang "My Valentine." Depp was there in the original video for McCartney’s song, alongside actress Natalie Portman. The video was projected onto huge screens around the Glastonbury stage, while McCartney performed on piano.

McCartney has been using the same footage of Depp during his recent US tour as well, which coincided with Depp’s high-profile court case with his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Fans seemed to be split down the middle over the inclusion of Depp.
