Last year, Sharon Osbourne started a media firestorm following her tweet that seemingly endorsed Piers Morgan's divisive statements about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Her actions and other underlying concerns led to her expulsion from "The Talk," bringing an end to her decade-long tenure as a co-host. In an unexpected turn of events, Morgan and Osbourne have now disclosed their plans to collaborate on a new program with a name that is eerily similar to the CBS daytime show.

'Where Do I Sign?'

Via a Twitter post, Morgan announced that British television celebrity Sharon Osbourne would be joining him on TalkTV, which is owned and controlled by Rupert Murdoch's News UK.

"So what I'm really looking for in my co-workers at TalkTV is somebody who is, well, a bit like me: very opinionated, fearless, funny, know their own mind, not afraid to speak it, unpredictable, maybe a little bit dangerous, and also somebody who every time they open their gobby mouth it makes global news," said the TV personality in the clip.

After that, Osbourne came on camera next to the 56-year-old and said, "Um, where do I sign Piers?"

"Hi, Sharon," Morgan responded. "Hi, darling," Osbourne added.

Osbourne's new job might require her to relocate from the United States to the United Kingdom. It comes nearly a year after she left "The Talk" amid controversy. Within the same period, Morgan also stomped off the camera and quit his position as host of ITV's "Good Morning Britain" after facing backlash for alleged racist comments about Prince Harry and Markle following their appearance on Oprah Winfrey's Show.

Osbourne, who shares a long-term friendship with Morgan, once tweeted her support for him during his Prince Harry and Markle debacle.

"I am with you. I stand by you," the tweet read. "People forget that you're paid for your opinion and that you're just speaking your truth."

In response to her tweet, Morgan expressed his admiration for Osbourne, with whom he starred as a judge on "America's Got Talent."

"When stuff like this happens, true friends run towards you, fake friends run away. I love Sharon Osbourne because she always stays true to herself," he tweeted at the time. "She knew she would get abused by the woke brigade for tweeting this - but did it anyway because it what she believes."

On the next episode of "The Talk," which was held after her tweet in support of her friend, Osborne faced the wrath of her former colleague Sherly Underwood who showed surprise that she aligned with Morgan. After that, Osbourne stressed that she mostly disagreed with Morgan's viewpoints but affirmed she did not see any racial overtones of his criticism of Meghan Markle.

"I'm not racist, neither is Piers racist, and I hate the fact of even saying I'm not racist, it's a terrible evil word to call anybody without knowledge of that," Osbourne stated at the time. She then went on to slam Underwood, informing her to "educate" her on the subject of racism.

Following the episode, CBS initiated an internal investigation into the event, which resulted in Osbourne's departure from the daytime talk program.

Morgan's upcoming collaboration with Osbourne does not come as a surprise to most viewers. He had previously written a scathing article against CBS following her dismissal, calling out the media giants for unfairly terminating the former MTV reality star's contract.

The pair's long-term friendship will continue with their new show, which includes hosting "five opinionated celebrity faces" for an hour each weekday as they debate topics such as politics, crime, health, and entertainment. It will only be televised in the United Kingdom.

Although there is no official date for the shows, it is expected to launch in Spring 2022.
