Piers Morgan's ongoing tiff with Meghan Markle is always a spectacle to witness. The British TV show host started an on-air slander of the Duchess right after her wedding to Prince Harry, and it doesn't seem like he'll be stopping anytime soon.

The antagonism towards Markle was so much that Morgan allegedly quit his job as a co-host of ITV's "Good Morning Britain" because he didn't want to apologize to the Duchess. He made some damaging on-air comments about Markle's mental health, to which she filed a complaint, and the studio asked him to apologize, but the tv host preferred to walk out.

Morgan's view of Markle changed not too long after that, and the host went on to release an onslaught of verbal attacks on the royal couple. Markle and Harry graced the NAACP Image Awards on February 26, and Morgan had a lot to say about their presence.

Morgan only had bad things to say about the Duke and Duchess's appearance. The talk show host tweeted, "Imagine giving these two clowns an award when their only claim to fame is trashing their families on TV, ruthlessly exploiting their royal titles for vast financial gain, and preaching about equality and environmental from their California mansion & private jets? Hilarious."

Twitter users weren't the biggest fans of his comment, so they went on to drag Morgan and even called him "pressed."

One tweeted, "Imagine being this emotionally upset because one of these people wasn't interested in dating you, sugar. Seems a personal conflict of interest you've yet to come to terms with even as an old man. Therapy may still help."

Another said, "What's hilarious is you being so triggered by them. Why so pressed? Because they're living their best life or because Megan's never going to date you?"

The Duke and Duchess were awarded for their humanitarian work via Archwell Foundation. The foundation focuses on global vaccine equality, the Black Lives Matter movement, and women's equality. Markle graced the award show with her mother in tow.

In their acceptance speech, the Duchess said, "It's inspiring to think about the legacy of the Image Awards, which began shortly after the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 were passed into law."

Markle continued, "Today, we can continue that legacy by re-establishing federal voting protections in our country and fulfilling the work of civil rights giants, like the late John Lewis. We are so deeply humbled to be here in the company of so many illustrious awardees."

Prince Harry also joined in on the speech and mentioned the current situation in Ukraine. He said, "Before I begin, we would like to acknowledge the people of Ukraine, who urgently need our continued support as a global community."

He then proceeded to talk about his appreciation for the award and how the community welcomed him "so warmly." Harry said, "I also echo the immense gratitude for tonight, both for this award and this community for welcoming me so warmly."

"I think it's safe to say that I come from a very different background from my incredible wife, yet our lives were brought together for a reason. We share a commitment to a life of service, a responsibility to combat injustice and a belief that the most often overlooked are the most important to listen to," the Duke added.

In a late 2017 ITV's "Good Morning Britain" episode, Morgan talked about how he met the Duchess long before her encounter with Prince Harry. He mentioned that he met up with Markle at a bar in 2016 right before she left for an exclusive London member's club where she met the Duke.

The two interacted on Twitter previously, and then when Markle flew to the UK for a Serena Williams game in Wimbledon, the actress allegedly hit Morgan up for a meeting. The two ended up at a local pub where they spoke for over an hour about her TV drama series "Suits" and several other topics.

Morgan said he put her in an Uber and bid her a safe trip to the gentlemen's club event when it was time to go. While recounting the moment, he said, "So it could well be said that I put Meghan Markle in an Uber to the arms of Prince Harry."

The presenter also said that Markle was a "very smart, and very warm, nice, funny person." He said, "She's a nice person, Meghan Markle. That's what is refreshing about this. Confidence, nice, normal, smart, talented."
