Natalie Lee is NOT having it!
Their relationship was arguably overshadowed by Jansen’s previous pod relationship with Shania Hurley.
The pair were constantly back-and-forth in the pods to the point where Hurley still had feelings for Jansen despite the fact she had accepted a proposal from Kyle Abrams!
Lee knew her man had previously bonded with Hurley, and their whirlwind relationship remained a point of contention in her own relationship with Jansen.
Lee and Jansen ultimately got engaged, and worked extremely hard to navigate their relationship, but Jansen’s temper and relationship with alcohol had a giant effect on their success; the night before the duo were set to tie the knot, they had a huge fight which was strongly affected by Jansen’s drinking.
The duo ended up not going through with their wedding.
Since season two of “Love Is Blind” was released in February, the duo have tried on and off to reconcile and resume dating in the “real world.”
Lee opened up to “Love Is Blind” alum Lauren Speed-Hamilton on Hamilton’s podcast “We Have The Receipts,” and revealed the couple had tried dating “For several months after [their] wedding. We just wanted to give it another shot without the pressures of the wedding, and also, the cameras,” as per The Blast’s recent report.
The Latest Round Of Drama
Podcasts have been a popular destination for the whole cast lately, including Jansen.
He appeared on the latest episode of Nick Viall’s podcast “The Viall Files” and absolutely did not mince words or hold back on any topic related to him whatsoever, including his relationship with Lee.
After the episode dropped today, Lee went to her Instagram stories to set the record straight on several of Jansen’s comments.
Lee was quick to touch on Jansen’s drinking.
She wrote, “I never told Shayne what to say nor did we ever discuss or plan what to say in certain scenes. I did, however, set boundaries with filming-specifically I asked him not to drink alcohol before “serious” scenes and to not share in-depth details of our intimacy out of respect for my family.”
While Lee took the time to debunk several of Jansen’s claims from “The Viall Files” in her Instagram story, she also dropped a bomb of her own:
She said, “I told Shayne he was ‘disgusting’ Sunday night because he called me to tell me he was going to ‘bury me’ and ‘drag me down with him’ on the podcast because I ended any chance of reconciliation, in addition to him feeling I didn’t speak highly enough of him in the media.”
No Chance Of Reconciliation

Jansen’s current point of view on his relationship with Lee as he shared on “The Viall Files” comes after the pair had repeatedly attempted to give their relationship another try.
Jansen revealed on the podcast they had attempted to reconcile four times after filming wrapped. Lee disagrees; she said they “dated twice after [their] wedding.”
As recently as last weekend, according to Jansen, the duo had tried to take one more shot at reviving their relationship.
When speaking about this particular attempt on the podcast, Viall said, “Someone DM’ed me and said ‘I saw Shayne and Natalie walking the streets of Chicago…,” which Jansen confirmed.
Lee also commented on their latest meeting and said, “Recently we met up to discuss the possibility of reconciliation but ultimately agreed not to date until he changed some of his behaviors.”
Both Jansen and Lee seem more than ready to put their past behind them.
Jansen said he was “Fed up” with the idea of trying to repair their relationship.
Lee concluded her statement by saying, “Maybe in a few days I’ll have more to say on this, but right now I’m saddened and confused by his dishonesty on the podcast. I didn’t think it would get to a point where I’d have to address this publicly, but blatantly lying about me on a podcast for whatever motive is where I draw the line.”
