In the video, the brokenhearted actor caressed his frail mother’s hand as he tearfully said, “Rest in peace, mom.”

He further stated that he would hold her hand for the rest of his life just like she held his as he grew up.

The "2 Fast 2 Furious" Actor Got Transparent About His Controversial Past

Last November, The Blast reported that Tyrese spoke candidly about his controversial past in an interview on the FAQ podcast.

He began by talking about racism in Hollywood and how involving a mixture of races was beneficial to significant blockbusters while referring to the history of “Fast & Furious.”

The 43-year-old further opened up about the child abuse accusation from his former partner that led to 100 days’ separation from his daughter. However, that didn’t affect his relationship with his daughter.

Around the period of his ex’s accusation, which he was completely absolved for, a psychiatrist advised him to use psych meds which led to his breakdown, which lasted for months.

His supporters were shocked at his display during his breakdown, but talking about it in the interview made them understand how his mental health suffered.

Fans were taken with his honesty and openness to talk about his past. A fan thanked him for clearing the air about unanswered questions while another commended him on his authenticity.

The "Baby Boy" actor seems to be a transparent person, as his management previously told him to refrain from interviews because his rawness puts people in their feelings.

Tyrese had a talk with Wendy Williams on her show, during which he promoted his movie “Black and Blue.”

The Blast shared that they also had a backstage conversation whereby the R&B singer revealed why he hadn’t been on the show for more than three years. Williams’ ex, Kevin Hunter, was to blame for that.

Hunter thought he had good reason as he believed the "F9" actor was flirting with his ex, hence his ban from the show. The talk show host wasn’t too thrilled with Hunter’s action, and she called him out on the show.

She went on to say things were going to change that moment with the words, “New rules, new day!” Williams further threw shade at her former partner by asking about who he was flirting with at the time.

The question referred to the reason behind the former couple's divorce, which came about when she discovered he had a child outside their marriage. Following their divorce, Hunter lost his position on Williams’ show.
