Olivia Rodrigo Called Out By Artists For Allegedly Stealing Their Work!

Olivia Rodrigo is in hot water once again.
The “Driver’s License” singer has been called out again for improperly using another artist’s work.
This isn’t her first rodeo with claims of copyright and plagiarism.
Earlier this year she was called out by Courtney Love for copying the Holes 1994 album cover for “Live Through This.”
Back in June, the singer announced her “Sour Prom” concert film, and in the promo photos the singer is wearing a bright pink dress, a rhinestone crown with mascara running down her face.

Love posted the photo to her Instagram and captioned it, “Spot the difference #twinning @oliviarodrigo.”
She wrote on Facebook, “Stealing an original idea and not asking permission is rude. There’s no way to be elegant about it.”
Then there was the whole Paramore copyright dilemma for Olivia’s song “Good 4 U,” which eventually led to the 18-year-old giving Hayley Williams writing credit on the song.
Welp, it’s a new day and someone new has an issue with the “Deja Vu” singer’s lack of accountability.

Earlier this week, the ‘HSMTMTS’ star posted a piece of artwork to her Instagram.
The image featured two stencil figures with a blue line between them and was captioned, “I wish I could pull the sad out of you like this.”
Olivia reposted it to her grid, which now seems to be deleted, and captioned it, “I luv pumpkin pie.”
The original artist who goes by ‘filthyratbag,’ reposted it to their IG Story and wrote, “Hate it when Olivia Rodrigo posts a drawing I did when I was 16 to her millions of followers and doesn’t give me credit."

FilthyRatBag went on to write, “I made this drawing ‘I wish I could pull the sad out of you like this’ in 2015 when I was 16- I’m not sure why but this weird thing happened where it got completely ‘swept away’ from me. It was reposted all over different sites and I was never given any credit for it. People would often add alterations and text that weren’t there originally that often changed the entire tone and sentiment- Other times they’d just completely re draw it and claim it as their own.”
“I love sharing my art and I absolutely love hearing how some people relate to it, but feeling like my work does not belong to me once I put it out into the world has been very disheartening,” they wrote. “Today this drawing was shared by a celebrity with a very large following and once again I wasn’t credited, despite them knowing I was the creator.”
They concluded with a friendly reminder to please credit all kinds of artists when sharing their work.
Olivia has not directly responded to this person’s claims, but the image is no longer on her Instagram account.
