Elizabeth Olsen is a 32-year-old American actress from Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles. Although she started acting at age 4, she likes to maintain a low profile and deleted her Instagram account in 2020.

Comic fans might recognize her as Wanda, also known as the Scarlet Witch, from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which is currently in its fourth phase. She recently starred in the critically acclaimed Disney+ series "WandaVision" alongside Paul Bettany, who played Vision.

Although the first season is over, fans can't help but hope that there might be a second season. In a recent interview, Olsen played coy and hinted that one can never say never when it comes to the MCU.

Olsen's Comments

In an interview with "The Big Bang Theory" star Kaley Cuoco for Variety's "Actor on Actor" segment, Cuoco asked if there will be a second season of the popular Marvel show.

"No, it's definitely a limited series," Olsen answered.

"Limited series. Well, we said that too," Cuoco replied in response to her role in the critically acclaimed "The Flight Attendant,” which has already been renewed for a second season.

"I mean, I'm saying that," Olsen continued. "I don't know. I mean, with Marvel, you can never say no."

A One-Season Arc

Although it's possible the show may return, it seems unlikely. Show creator Jac Schaeffer said the series will feel "very complete" and titled the final episode, "The Series Finale,” which seems to squash any hope of the show returning for a second season.

Even Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Studios, expressed doubt in a second season, although Olsen's role as Wanda is far from over.

Instead of a second season, the series finale led into the beginning of the sequel to “Doctor Strange,” appropriately titled, "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," in which Olsen will feature alongside Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange himself.

The film has a release date scheduled for March 25, 2022, and also stars Tobey Maguire and Sam Raimi.

Spin-Off Series

Earlier today, it was revealed that a “WandaVision” spin-off series is already in the works. The series will star Kathryn Hahn, who is set to reprise her role of Agatha Harkness in the series.

Although Hahn’s character started out as simply a nosy neighbor names Agnes, she was soon revealed to a powerful witch named Agatha who is more powerful than Wanda, the Scarlet Witch. However, Wanda was able to trap Agatha in Westview, leaving Agatha’s fate uncertain.

The plot details of this new spin-off show have yet to be revealed, but “WandaVision” head writer Jac Schaeffer will serve as writer and executive producer on this project as well.

Considering that “WandaVision” scored 23 Emmy nominations and a win in the best original music and lyrics category for “Agatha All Along,” it seems that both critics and audiences alike would love to see Olsen and Bettany reunite on set.
