'9-1-1' Cast: How Much Does Angela Bassett & Other Stars Earn Per Episode?

Yay! "9-1-1" is making a comeback for its fifth season very soon, and fans are psyched. The crime drama features some incredible acts, including Oscar nominee, Angela Bassett.
The star recently led the charge against Fox enterprise, on the need to increase the actors' salaries for obvious reasons. The 62-year-old actress teamed up with the creator, Ryan Murphy, to develop the series, as well as serve as an executive producer for the show's spinoff titled "9-1-1: Lone Star."

Bassett not only represents incredible female actors across Hollywood, but women of color in the industry who have to always speak up for what they want. And what the actress wants, is for the production company to increase the cast's salary towards season five.
Per Deadline, the actress is allegedly now earning more than $450,000 per episode. Keep reading below to find out what other cast members will earn per episode in the coming season.
Angela Bassett
The "Otherhood" actress plays the role of a trusted and decorated police officer named Athena Grant in the series. Grant started off with a beautiful family that included a husband, and two children, but due to the nature of her job, and how she had to fight to get to the top, she seldom had time for her family.
Although this fracture was later disclosed in the series, the drama also revealed that Grant was the kind of person and mother who would jumps any hoops for the sake of her family.
As a black woman living and working in a sometimes bias environment, she tried her best to keep people safe, and fish out the bad eggs. Also, it is important to note that she did not always want to be a police officer, rather, she went to the University to become a lawyer.
After speaking out on the need for salary increase, reports allege that Bassett will currently earn about $450,000 or more.
Peter Krause
Krause plays the role of Bobby Nash in the series, who is trusted with the lives of his fire men and woman every single day, as well as the lives of people stuck in burning buildings.
The firefighter's character started out as a joke for many fans, as he was portrayed as an irresponsible man who ended every single day with a glass or two of alcohol. From season one to four, Bobby, as he is often called spent every waking moment of his life atoning for the death of his wife and children.

A recap episode showed that Bobby had gone to the roof of a building to take alcohol, when his wife and kids were trapped inside their burning house. By the time he arrived at the scene, it was too late, and they died. Despite his shortcomings, Bobby was given a mantle to prove himself, and he did that through the trials and temptations that the had to face. The series also saw Bobby Nash fall in love with a certain black policewoman.
As the show's male lead, Krause was given a 25 percent increase in his salary, and that means he will earn about $300,000 per episode in the coming season.
Jennifer Love Hewitt
This actress' current salary for season five is still unknown, but sources confirmed that she is the third highest paid actor on the show. While her salary per episode may not be up to $300,000, it could be between $150,000 and $250,000.
Hewitt plays the role of Maddie Buckley, a 911 dispatcher, who through her personal experience and quick thinking, helped to save a lot of people through a phone call. Maddie came on in the second season, when she showed up at her brother's home.

Later events in the season showed that she ran away from her abusive husband, changed her name and profession, in an attempt to stay off his radar. Maddie became a part of Athena Grant's family through her fiancé, Howie Han, who was a firefighter under Bobby Nash (Grant's second husband.)
Rockmund Dunbar
Dunbar is no stranger to crime series, as he has featured in Fox's "Prison Break," "The Mentalist," and so on. He plays the role of an architect, Michael Grant in the "9-1-1" series; Athena's first husband, and the father of her two children.

Michael disclosed to his wife and children in season one that he was a gay man, and though it took his family time to work through the news, they accepted him for who he was. He not only helped Athena with safe-guarding the kids whenever she had to work, he also became Bobby Bash's close friend and game partner.
Per Us Weekly, Dunbar and other supporting actors like Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Ryan Guzman, and Kenneth Choi, also received a 25 percent increase in their salaries, which means that they will now earn $80,000 per episode. Also, their salaries could receive a bump of $20,000 more in season six.
