Emma Roberts Will Not Be Returning To 'American Horror Story'

American Horror Story from the get go was a show unlike any other. When Evan Peters popped out on the scene with his “sad boi” persona, and manipulative air people were transfixed. Nobody could get enough of this scary, sexy series. It pushed boundaries like never before and people became devout fans of not just the stories, but also the creators who put it together time and again. After ten seasons it is incredible the fire that still burns for this show.

Still, everyone can catch criticism even for something that seems like utter perfection. The problem with American Horror Story isn't really with the actors. Honestly Ryan Murphy the creator understands exactly what he's doing when it comes to casting, and the writing is usually on point. But, after the third season “American Horror Story Coven '' fans were not content with Taissa Farmiga not being a part of the magic anymore. Her involvement from day one was the glue that held much of the series together.

When Lady Gaga came in a tore the house down in season five, of “American Horror Story Hotel” people were reminded as to why they rode with the show from the beginning. Having Angela Bassett acting opposite Kathy Bates was another gem for the viewers. Shortly after the success from that season people lost interest once again. Even Emma Roberts presence wasn't enough to help the show, and so her leaving it in season ten was probably a good move. She wasn't a terrible addition but she wasnt amazing either.

Since Evan Peters is rumored to be returning to the show in season ten, people are speculating whether that is tied to Emma leaving it. Their tumultuous relationship was known for its alleged toxicity. With the cops being called on Emma in the past, people really were shocked as to what was going on behind closed doors. They now have been broken up for a while and Evan is actually in a relationship with pop star Halsey. Halsey herself hasnt had the best history with love, but somehow they seem to be making it work.

Could the prospect of working alongside her ex have been too much for Roberts to swallow. Obviously for an actor the job in itself is very taxing, especially considering the hard subject matter American Horror Story writers aren't afraid to tackle. So, maybe Emma is trying to protect her mental well being and separate herself completely from her ex due to the intense time they spent together in the past. The emotional toll might be arduous, and the tension beyond awkward.
