Donald Trump has a bone to pick with his critics!

The President of the United States made his displeasure known in the early hours of Monday, May 25, kicking off Memorial Day with a heated rant.

Donald Trump is no stranger to sharing his feelings on his Truth Social platform, frequently slamming political rivals and critics, such as late-night talk show host Stephen Colbert.

Trump rang in Memorial Day on his social media platform with a lengthy post about his efforts amid the ongoing war with Iran. “I laugh at all of the Dumocrats, RINOS, and Fools who know nothing about the potential deal I am making with Iran,” the POTUS began.

The president explained that the terms of the deal in question haven’t been negotiated yet. However, critics such as Thom Tillis, Bill Cassidy, Thomas Massie, and more were unable to see the big picture, according to Trump.

“These people should go home and rest; they do nothing but create division and loss. In other words, they are losers!” he wrote, adding:

“The deal with Iran will either be a great and meaningful one, or there will be no deal. It will be the exact opposite of the JCPOA disaster negotiated by the failed Obama Administration.”

Trump’s rant continued, with claims that the Obama Administration is to blame for opening the path to Iran’s nuclear weapons. He reiterated that he wouldn’t make deals that were not beneficial before doubling down on slamming Democrats as “Dumocrats.”

In a second post, Trump wished everyone a happy Memorial Day, “including the Dumocrats, who disrespect our Military and all of the tremendous success that it has had over the last year.” He concluded the post with his love for all and prayers for those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country.

Hours after berating his critics on Truth Social, TMZ reported that Trump had regained his composure for a public outing. He appeared alongside Vice President J.D. Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth at Arlington National Cemetery. There, they held a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Trump’s early morning Truth Social rants are nothing new for the president, who made waves days earlier for applauding the end of Stephen Colbert’s late-night show. The Blast covered the story, reporting that Trump wasted no time blasting the host on his social media platform.

Hours after the final episode of Colbert’s late-night show aired on May 21, Trump took to his social media platform shortly before 2 a.m. on May 22. He slammed Colbert as talentless, with no ratings and no life, applauding CBS for pulling the plug on the show.

“He was like a dead person. You could take any person off the street, and they would be better than this total jerk,” Trump wrote. Colbert first announced the end of his show in July 2025, with CBS citing financial reasons for the cancellation. At the time, Trump celebrated, claiming Colbert had been fired.

While Trump happily celebrated the end of Colbert’s late-night show, the latter shocked fans by returning to TV. The Blast shared that Colbert guest-hosted the May 22 episode of “Only in Monroe,” marking a comeback that no one, especially Trump, saw coming.

The episode saw Colbert joined by music director Jack White and guest Jeff Daniels, with cameo appearances by Eminem and Steve Buscemi. Colbert also joked about the end of his late-night TV gig, claiming it was “an excruciating 23 hours without being on TV.”

As for his true feelings about leaving the late-night show, Colbert confessed that he had wanted to leave on his own terms, preferably when he was much older. He compared his situation to the end of “The Colbert Report,” explaining that with the other show, he chose the final day himself and had known about it two years in advance.

While Colbert’s late-night show ended after he slammed Paramount’s settlement with Trump, one show continues to go strong despite poking fun at the president. “South Park” has never shied away from making jokes about celebrities, including Trump.

The Blast recently reported that the series’s co-creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, opened up about their jabs at Trump. They explained that the backlash generated from a skit done last July only made them double down on poking fun at the president.

“It became this just totally juvenile joke of like, ‘We’re not gonna stop. We’re going to do it every single week,'” Parker said at the South Park Emmy Official FYC event. A recent episode of the series featured another jab at Trump, where he was depicted lying in bed with the devil.
