Amy Duggar passed a vote of no-confidence on her family.
The influencer admitted that she did not see a light at the end of the tunnel for her family and the sexual abuse allegations that have haunted them for a while, hence why he is unfazed about the second incident in the family.
Amy Duggar’s assertion comes as Josh Duggar and Joseph Duggar have now both been arrested and held in custody due to sexual assault crimes, with the former getting sentenced to jail in 2022 and the latter awaiting trial for assaulting a child years ago on vacation.

The influencer noted that she activated the distance as soon as Josh was arrested because she knew it was not the end of the road for such scandals in the family.
Amy, who appeared on the May 13 episode of “The Dory Jackson Interview” on YouTube, explained that she intentionally established clear boundaries with the family after Josh’s case because she never believed the controversy started and ended with him alone.
She confessed that she suffered the crushing emotional effect of Josh’s arrest, but decided that her family’s struggles would not define her life.
Amy added that she never saw herself as an extension of the darkness that had consumed the family at some point.
Amy equally dived into the recent arrest of Joseph, saying that the emotional baggage that came with his arrest was much more controlled this time.
During Josh’s earlier arrest, Amy noted that she would drown herself in food, and subsequently began to gain weight.

Amy continued that learning about Joseph’s arrest was an emotional moment for her and her family, who were around her when the news broke.
She added that the revelation brought her to tears because it was so familiar, especially after how much anguish the family endured during Josh’s arrest.
Amy continued that the most heartbreaking moment for her was learning that Joseph’s wife had been arrested. The fact that the victim involved in her cousin’s evil act was a child triggered Amy in many ways than one.
On the spot, Amy revealed that she devised an effective solution to establish strong boundaries with her family due to the weight of these problems.
Despite her resolve, the deep care for her family still exists, and she hoped for the best for everyone involved.
Joseph was arrested following allegations that he repeatedly molested a 9-year-old girl during a 2020 family vacation to Panama City Beach.
Amy Duggar Was Glad To See Josh Duggar Put Away In 2022
In 2022, The Blast reported that Josh was sentenced to 12 years and seven months in prison after being convicted on child sexual abuse material charges.
In addition, he was also fined over $50,000 and placed under 20 years of supervised release after prison, alongside a ban from unsupervised contact with minors.
The ban placed on Josh extended to his kids as well as internet and pornography access. Amy did not waste time reacting to the news of Josh’s sentencing, expressing that she heaved a sigh of relief that justice had been served.
She emphasized that a deep reassurance came with knowing her cousin would no longer have unrestricted access to children or computers.
However, the lengthy legal process had taken a major emotional toll on her. Amy noted that she believed deeper issues and family trauma may eventually be made public.
The reality star added that she did not think the story surrounding Josh’s actions was fully over, but she could sleep with her two eyes closed now that he has been put away for good.

As soon as Josh was convicted four years ago, Amy publicly reached out to his wife and her sister-in-law Anna Duggar with a heartfelt message alongside an old photo from her wedding day.
Amy empathized with Anna, acknowledging that the mother of seven had been placed in an incredibly painful position while being surrounded by support systems that were not truly helping her.
Amy assured Anna that, despite her outlook on marriage as a lasting institution, Josh’s crimes underrate her expectations, and there was never anything she caused or could control.
As stated by The Blast, Josh’s cousin continued that the letter from Anna’s father in defense of his son-in-law also helped her understand why Anna may feel stuck on measures to protect her children.

Joseph’s case took another dramatic turn in March when his wife, Kendra Duggar, was briefly arrested and released later that day on bond.
Following Joseph and Kendra’s arrest, the couple is now faced with charges related to child endangerment and multiple counts of second-degree false imprisonment.
As it stands, there is a huge possibility of the couple getting jail time, accompanied by huge fines if convicted.
Joseph separately faces more serious allegations connected to improper sexual conduct involving a child under 12, alongside a second charge involving inappropriate conduct by an adult.
However, a spokesperson for the Duggar family clarified that the charges against Kendra are unrelated to the allegations Joseph is facing in Florida.
The representative maintained that Kendra is neither accused of nor suspected of involvement in the alleged abuse case.
