A vital piece of document has now resurfaced and entered into evidence to buttress the claims on some dynamics concerning the release of the sex tape between the singer and Kim Kardashian. This comes amid the ongoing defamation lawsuit filed by Kris Jenner.
Ray J’s relationship with the Kardashians goes way back, spanning over decades. The celebrities have not had it smooth sailing since the sex tape of the ex-lovers made its way on air, allegedly thanks to Kris Jenner.
Ray J & The Kardashians Reportedly Had A Secret Agreement
Despite their rocky relationship, it has now come to light that Ray J and Kim saw eye to eye on something. It has been revealed that the pair, along with their mothers, agreed behind closed doors to maintain silence on the topic of their sex tape in 2023. Kim and her mom reportedly submitted the deal, titled “Confidential Settlement Agreement and Mutual General Release.”
The signed agreement was executed by “The Kardarshian” stars, along with the singer and his mother, Sonja Norwood, in April 2023. A copy of the deal has been obtained by TMZ, and it shows that not only did the families agree to the terms, but Ray J also agreed not to hold Hulu or Disney responsible for any claims.
“The parties have agreed to enter this agreement addressing all past, current, or future claims, disputes, causes of action, defenses, and alleged losses, including without limitation, all claims and defenses arising out of or concerning the subject matter of the sex tape,” a part of the document read.
The Singer Says There Was A Financial Clause Attached To The Deal
The ex-lovers and their moms also saw it right to include that there would be no “disparage or impugn the character, reputation, integrity, honesty, business or business practices” of each other in the agreement.
The songwriter revealed that Kim approached him to sign the document in 2023 and that he was paid $6 million as part of the deal. The money did not come without a cost, as Ray J disclosed that the deal included financial penalties for either party that did not hold up their end of the bargain.
According to the singer, the reality TV stars broke the agreement just a month after the agreement was finalized. He claims they discussed the sex tape on their Hulu reality TV show, “The Kardashians.” The details of this secret agreement came to light because ot was filed as part of the documents in the ongoing defamation lawsuit between Kris, Kim, and Ray J.

Furthermore, the media personality stressed that Ray J’s statements were bad for their family business. The effects extended from their personal lives and could pose an issue for Kim as she aspires to become a lawyer.
The Actor And His Mom Are Telling The Same Story
The identity of the source who leaked the infamous sex tape of the former lovers has remained hazy in the eyes of the media, but Ray J and his mom, Norwood, maintain that Kris leaked the tape.
The Kardashian mom and daughter duo have held on to their side of the story, in which they claim the tape was released to the media in 2007 against Kim’s will. The songwriter is not letting go without a fight, and he is going the extra mile to prove his truth beyond a reasonable doubt. According to his legal team, a key witness will testify supporting his narrative that the media personalities had a hand in the sex tape’s release.
His witness is said to be a former executive at Vivid Entertainment, Steve Hirsch, who would share hidden details behind the tape being on air and who actually orchestrated its release. The Blast shared that Hirsch previously stated that Kris played no part in the release of the sex tape, but reveals that the footage can’t have aired without Kim and Ray J’s consent.
The rapper disclosed that before the tape was released, he had a meeting with Vivid Entertainment executives, along with Kim and Kris. They were then paid $400,000 for each of the three tapes.
Ray J’s lawyer also pointed out that Kim allegedly lied under oath in her recent court testimony, and if proven, it will come to bite her in the back when she finally becomes a lawyer.
