Mulatto has been one of the biggest breakout stars in the music industry over the last year but has faced a lot of backlash on social media. This is due to her stage name and it being seen as offensive to biracial people. Many on social media called for the Atlanta rapper to make a change to the name and at the end of 2020, Mulattorevealed that she was making plans to do so but it would take some time. Now, it is evident that the change is now official.

Mulatto fans on social media soon noticed that the new stage name is now "Latto," as this was seen on her songs on streaming platforms. The change is now made to her social media feeds as well as her Twitter is @Latto and Instagram is currently @Latto777. Many believe that this isn't much of a difference though as the "Latto" part from her original Mulatto stage name is still there. A lot agree that she should've just went with a completely new stage name.
