TikTok Viral Grandma's Dream Comes True With Steph Curry Meeting

A viral TikTok grandma and die-hard Steph Curry superfan had her dream come true on Thursday night, meeting the Warriors star during the team's game against the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center.

After going viral for her unwavering support of Curry, the heartwarming moment was captured as the two shared a conversation and some laughs. The emotional meeting was a testament to the power of social media and the impact of sports heroes on fans of all ages.

Grandma Kitty finally got the opportunity to meet Curry in person on Thursday night at the Warriors vs. Nets game in Brooklyn.

The viral TikTok grandma, 86, who lives in Mechanicville, New York, lived out her dream of meeting the Warriors star just weeks after Curry sent Kitty a personalized message in a video.

During her meeting with Curry, she showed him a card she got from her kids a few years ago that reads, "Happy Mother's Day, Mom. Thank you for teaching us to love God, each other, and Steph Curry." She also showed him the notebook where she documents his every move on the court.

After the sweet interaction between Curry and Grandma Kitty, the Warriors shared the moment on Instagram with a carousel of photos and videos.

"Grandma Kitty keeps a notebook tracking every game Stephen plays in so she can watch," the caption reads. "Tonight, she got to see No. 30 in person."

Many fans dropped into the comment section to share their positive thoughts about the interaction.

"He is the people's athlete," one person wrote. Another added, "What a good man. He is inspiring." One other viewer shared, "That's nice he took the time chat with her, such an humble guy!"

On January 16, Kitty's granddaughter shared a video on TikTok captioned, "Stephen Curry you are my grandma's favorite grandchild. She adores you and wants to meet you so bad." The video shows how she keeps track of all his games and all the details of them in her notebook. The short, wholesome video quickly went viral with more than 1.5 million views and thousands of sweet comments.

ESPN dropped into the comments to say, "This is so wholesome." More than 32,000 people agreed with that comment, giving it a like.  The NBA also shared the comment, "Adorable."

Many viewers left comments about getting Curry's attention so he can see the video, and others just wanted to get her to a game.

"Someone show this to Steph," one viewer wrote. Another said, "We need to be tagging Stephen Curry so he can see this and meet her!!!"

Just three days later, a follow-up video proved that Curry saw the superfan grandma's video, and the surprise Grandma Kitty enjoyed.

Captioned, "'Steph Curry is in my dining room!' Cannot thank you enough," also tagged Curry, Warriors, and Dalton Johnson of NBC. "You made her entire life," the caption concluded.

In the video, Curry says, "Hey what's up, Grandma Kitty? Stephen Curry here. I saw the Instagram post. Wanna say thanks for being such a proud member of Dub Nation and for supporting us. I know you watch us on League Pass all the time and I know you got a beautiful scrapbook that you keep track of all of our stats, our wins and losses and all of that. So because of your support, we want to invite you to our game in Brooklyn on March 6th."

Kitty was clearly excited about the video and the invitation. After a few "wows" and lots of smiles, Kitty enthusiastically said, "Steph Curry is in my dining room. More "wows" followed closely behind, as she was in complete awe that Curry sent her a personalized message and invitation.

On February 12, Grandma Kitty shared a video thanking everyone for their "love and support" and to say she's excited about the game on March 6. She also shared how she is giving back to Curry for his generosity.

"As a way to give back to Steph, I set up a spot fund. Donations can be made to Steph's Foundation, Eat, Learn, Play," she said. "Any amount that you can give would be appreciated, so Steph can help the children of the Bay Area."

Her video grabbed tons of positive attention.

"Omg she is precious. She wants to raise money to thank him for thanking her," one viewer wrote in the comment section. Another added, "Sweetest thing ever! Raising funds to thank him for thanking her." One other shared, "Crying for our TikTok grandma. I’ll be waiting for the video of her at that game."
