The 63rd annual GRAMMYs are finally here as the world celebrates the biggest night in the music industry. Heading into tonight, Megan Thee Stallion scored four nominations as she had another phenomenal year in 2020. One of the Houston rapper's biggest records of the year was "Savage," which originally appeared on her "Suga" EP. The remix was released over a month later with fellow Houston icon, Beyoncè. Two weeks later, it became the No. 1 song in the US on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

'Savage' Remix Wins Grammy For Best Rap Performance

"Savage" remix just scored a huge win at the GRAMMYs as it took home the award for Best Rap Performance. Other nominees in this category were "The Bigger Picture" by Lil Baby, "The Box" by Roddy Ricch, Drake's "Laugh Now Cry Later" feat. Lil Durk, and "Rockstar" by DaBaby feat. Roddy Ricch. Savage is currently 2x platinum in the US and was viewed as arguably the hottest record of 2020. It's right up there with The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights," which was dominant as well.

'Savage' Remix Scored Three Grammy Nominations

"Savage" remix has opportunities to win two other GRAMMYs as it is also in the categories for Best Rap Song and Best Record. Megan is also in a category of her own as she's nominated for Best New Artists. Others included in this category are Ingrid Andress, Phoebe Bridgers, Noah Cyrus, Chika, D Smoke, Doja Cat, and Kaytranada. Fans were anxious for a Megan and Beyoncè collaboration since the start of 2020 when they saw the viral photo booth flicks of the two and Beyoncè's daughter, Blue Ivy, on New Year's Eve.

'Savage' Remix Appeared On Megan's Debut Album

Fans also waited a while for Megan's debut studio album to arrive as it was finally released in November 2020. The "Savage" remix appeared on that project as well. Good News was very successful as it debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and is now eligible for platinum status in the United States after selling over 1 million units. Other hits on Good News included "Body," "Cry Baby," feat. DaBaby, "Girls In The Hood," and "Don't Stop" feat. Gunna.

Megan And Fashion Nova Donated $100,000 To Breonna Taylor Foundation

This weekend marked the one-year anniversary that unarmed Breonna Taylor was shot and killed by Louisville police while she was sleeping in her home. Justice still hasn't been served as no officers have been charged for this case. Megan also made headlines this weekend for stepping up on the one-year anniversary as she and Fashion Nova together donated $100,000 to the Breonna Taylor Foundation, which was founded by Taylor's mother, Tamika Palmer. 

"A year ago today Breonna Taylor was tragically taken from her family and friends. Breonna’s name continue’s to be a catalyst for change and a powerful reminder that justice has still not been served. Fashion Nova and I are proud to give $100,000 to the @breonnataylorfoundation created by @tamikalpalmer to honor the memory of her daughter."
