Megan Thee Stallion continues to be one of the hottest artists in the industry and the numbers speak for themselves. Megan’s 2020 debut studio album, “Good News,” featured tons of hits with one of the latest being “Cry Baby,” which also features frequent collaborator, DaBaby. This has been a fan-favorite and is about to earn another plaque.
‘Cry Baby’ Is At Platinum Status
According to Chart Data, “Cry Baby” has officially sold over 1 million units in the US. That makes it eligible for a platinum certification by the RIAA and Megan will be receiving that plaque soon. The music video for this record has also gained over 37 million views on YouTube. Cry Baby wasn’t one of the lead singles for the “Good News” album but its momentum has certainly gone sky-high lately. On the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Cry Baby currently sits at No. 42.
Megan And DaBaby Always Put Out Hit Records Together
Megan and DaBaby always amazing chemistry on their collaboration and they almost always equal success. The first record that they got on together was Megan’s “Cash S*it” single from 2019. That appeared on her “Fever” mixtape as it peaked at No. 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and is 2x platinum in the US. Megan also appeared on DaBaby’s “Nasty” song from his 2020 “Blame It On Baby” album which also featured Ashanti. That ended up being one of the hottest records from Baby’s third studio album.
Megan’s ‘Good News’ Album Is Also At Platinum Eligibility
Last month, “Good News” also reached platinum eligibility in less than three months after its release. At the time that it was put out, it debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. It was also led by hits such as “Savage” remix feat. Beyoncè, “Girls In The Hood,” and “Don’t Stop” feat. Young Thug. The album was in high demand by Megan since 2019 and she didn’t disappoint her hotties at all as it was viewed as one of the hottest projects of 2020.
Megan Is Making An Impact For Women’s History Month
Megan knows how to use her platform to help other and she’s shown it on several occasions over the past year. The Houston rapper on March 8, which was International Women’s Day, that she would be giving out $1 $1 million this month to women who are entrepreneurs, students, own businesses, and who own charities. This is also in celebration of Women’s History Month. This is all in partnership with Fashion Nova as well, who Megan works with frequently.
