In a recently shared video on Instagram, Barrymore sheds some tears, laughs a bit and takes us all back to 1998 with her. Captioned, "I love you so much @adamsandler. The Wedding Singer came on my TV as I was getting ready to leave the house and I had to take in this moment and watch it," Barrymore shares a moment of real and raw emotions.

"We made such a good movie. I love you so much. Happy new year!" Barrymore sad in her video. After cracking a joke about the year she met Sandler, she continued saying, "It started this morning and I was on my way to yoga class, and I'm taking the next later one so I could watch it."

At the end of her video, Barrymore pans over to the TV to show everyone she's watching the end of the hit movie when Sandler's character, Robbie, serenades Barrymore's character, Julia, on a plane in an attempt to win her over. (If you haven't seen the movie, first we need to know why, but second, we won't spoil the ending for you!)

"The Wedding Singer" was a hit in the late 90s and a movie that many people can watch over and over and never get sick of it. The movie told the story of a wedding singer named Robbie who falls for a waitress named Julia, despite the fact that they are both engaged to other people.

This was the first time the two movie stars shared the big screen together, but not the last. They also filmed two other wildly popular rom-coms together - "50 First Dates" in 2004 and "Blended" in 2014.

Barrymore's video got tons of attention on both Instagram and TikTok and many fans shared their thoughts in the comment section.

"You and Adam together always makes for a good movie. If you did another I’d watch it!" one viewer wrote on Instagram. Another added, "I always wonder if actors stop and watch their shows when they come on TV. Now I know! You’re the best by the way!"

Some thanked Barrymore for the "trip down memory lane" and others shared their stories about the movie.

"Jules here. Got called Julia Gulia for a solid 15 years after that movie’s release. Only solace was being compared to the Goddess herself. Love you. Love that movie," one person wrote.

"My mom wanted to name me 'Julia' after the Beatles, but my dad’s response to that was 'Oh yeah! Or like the wedding singer!', so I am named after your character in this movie lol. One of my favorites! Truly a classic," shared another.

Over on TikTok, a few people commented on the size of Barrymore's TV and how relatable she is.

"The fact that she can have anything she wants, but she lives this simply is just inspiring to me," one person said. Another added, "I love that you have a small tv."

It appears that pretty much everyone would love to see Sandler and Barrymore together on screen again, sooner rather than later. Last year, just ahead of the 25th anniversary of "The Wedding Singer," Barrymore teased the possibility of just that.

"You know what, I know. I feel it too. We're talking about it," Barrymore told ET when asked about a possible "Wedding Singer" reunion. "I think it's time too. We're looking. We're definitely actively looking."

A year ago, when Sandler was a guest on "The Drew Barrymore Show," "The Wedding Singer" joined the chat. When Barrymore asked Sandler what movie would represent something he would put in a time capsule to sum up everything, Sandler said "The Wedding Singer."

The two have a bond that's impossible to deny. In early 2020, Barrymore presented Sandler with the best actor award for his performance in the 2019 thriller "Uncut Gems" at the National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala.

"I love this man so much, and I have always believed in him," Barrymore said while presenting the award. "This moment, honestly, couldn't be more deserved. I know that everyone is rooting for you because you have earned everyone's respect. You deserve the best, you give the best and you are the best. I love you very much."

After telling Barrymore that was amazing, Sandler added, "I'm glad we met and I'm glad we did it all and we always make our movies together."
