Pop star Britney Spears has divulged a lot of details about her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, in her new memoir, “The Woman In Me.”

She explains in her tell-all book how their three-year relationship was full of allegations of infidelity on both sides, and even the bombshell revelation that the two navigated an unplanned pregnancy.

However, fans have zeroed in on another moment in the couple's relationship, which lasted from 1999 to 2002. In her memoir, Britney accuses Justin of trying to mimic a "Blaccent," which is recreated by Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Williams when recording the audiobook version of Britney's memoir.

In an excerpt from her memoir, "The Woman In Me," released by People magazine, Britney Spears wrote about the time she and Justin were in New York City when he recognized Ginuwine. This happens in chapter 10 of Britney's memoir.

“His band *NSYNC was back then what people called ‘so pimp.’ They were white boys but they loved hip-hop. To me, that’s what separated them from the Backstreet Boys, who seemed very consciously to position themselves as a white group,” Britney wrote in her memoir. “*NSYNC hung out with Black artists. Sometimes I thought they tried too hard to fit in."

“One day J and I were in New York, going to parts of town I had never been to before. Walking our way was a guy with a huge, blinged-out medallion. He was flanked by two giant security guards," she continued. "J got all excited and said so loud, ‘Oh yeah, fo’ shiz fo’ shiz, Ginuwine, what’s up homie?’ After Ginuwine walked away, Felicia [Spears' assistant] did an impression of J ... J wasn’t even embarrassed. He just took it and looked at her like, ‘OK, f— you Fe.’”

Although some cast doubt on Britney's recollection of events, another fan pulled up a resurfaced clip of the "Cry Me A River" singer on stage.

" Justin Timberlake once did this on stage…he definitely did what Britney Spears said he did in front of Ginuwine," they wrote alongside the video.

Earlier this month, People magazine was the first to report that Britney Spears would only record the introduction to her audiobook, while Michelle Williams would record the rest of the book. “This book has been a labor of love and all the emotions that come with it,” Britney told the publication in a brief statement. “Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook.”

“I am so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest of it,” the pop star added. Meanwhile, Michelle released her own short statement to support the "Toxic" singer, simply stating, “I stand with Britney.”

Britney Spears' memoir "The Woman In Me" was officially released on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
