Sam Asghari Visits NYC One Week After Britney Spears For 'Lots Of Pizza'

Actor Sam Asghari is showing off his adventures in New York City only one week after his ex Britney Spearswas there ahead of the release of her memoir "The Woman In Me."

The former couple met on the set of her "Slumber Party" music video in 2016 and became engaged in September 2021, only two months before her controversial 13-year conservatorship ended.

The two tied the knot in June 2022, but the "Special Ops: Lioness" actor filed for divorce on August 16, 2023, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split in court documents obtained by The Blast.

On Friday night, while Britney Spears,  41, deactivated her Instagram account, the 29-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a whole carousel of photos from his trip to New York City. It looked like his trip was a mix of business and pleasure, as he had asked his followers if they knew of a good photographer in the Big Apple via his Instagram Stories earlier in the week.

“A lot of walking, lots of pizza, and a lot of ‘watch where yo goinnnn,’” he wrote in the caption of his Instagram post, which contained photos of him working out at the gym, going for a run in the rain, and posing with a coffee in Central Park. He didn’t share a photo of him indulging in New York City pizza, although he did post a video of him eating a slice in his Instagram Stories.

Although some fans loved Sam’s fun photos of his trip to the East Coast, there were a lot of comments about Britney taking over the comments, as has been the case for many of his last Instagram posts. “You know what Britney has been through!!! She loved you so much. Why did you hurt her!!? She is a good girl and deserves the best! YOU USED HER. KARMA GONNA GET YOU SAM,” one user exclaimed.

“Britney’s always the victim isn’t she?!?! A grown a-- woman off her meds with polysubstance abuse of her own doing. But yes let’s blame Sam, her sons, her father, Kevin, Justin, her mother, her sister ..it’s just never her,” one Sam fan shot back. “If they ever need to do a survey on mentally unstable Americans, they just need to focus on Britney’s fan base.”

Another user remarked, “Imagine needing to compulsively judge someone’s relationship and breakup without ever knowing the couple personally” while another netizen shared, “You look better without her. I think you never fit each other from the beginning. All the best. B is happier now, she is getting wild!” One user responded, “He looks great! He doesn’t need drama in his life.”

“What the h--- is wrong with you people?” another follower asked. “This guy stood by her through the hardest time of her life. Then he married her, then she acted like she wasn't married. Stripper poles and dancing n---- and rolling around in the bed n---- for her kids and everybody to see.”

“Who wants to be married to that I don't care who she is. This guy was making some of himself and is still doing that. You people are idiots. The girl could have come off her conservatorship and done anything, but she decided to stay n---- in front of a camera and have sex with the help. She made her bed and she can lie in it,” they continued, referring to rumors that Sam ended the marriage over rumors of Britney’s infidelity.

Some fans agreed that Sam was better off leaving the relationship. “Britney uses and abuses herself. I think this guy is a real victim because she stole his youth. He truly believed he could change her. If he was a chick, all of you be bashing ol’ Brit,” one user remarked. However, another user alleged, “He was probably paid by the father to keep an eye on her. He never loved her. Everyone uses and abuses her. He's just as guilty as the rest of her family. He disgusting.”

“LOL, apparently you don’t remember he was the one who told her to do that stuff too! Recorded her. Embraced her. He knew her condition BEFORE he married her now he wants her money. Nice try tho. If he was the type you are trying to say he is then he wouldn’t be living off her financially,” another netizen chimed in.

On Thursday, August 24, TMZ reported that Britney is the one who is actually paying for Sam’s luxury high-rise in Los Angeles. Earlier in the week, a source told Page Six that the actor has moved into the Ten Thousand building in Los Angeles, which is on the border of Beverly Hills and Century City.

Although a “standard unit” is $10,000, sources say that Sam was “able to work out a deal for a better apartment at the base price.” At this time, however, Britney is still paying for his rent until the two can settle the terms of their divorce.

Around the same time, however, the couple did manage to agree on one thing. They settled the custody dispute over their five dogs, although fans have expressed concern for the dogs under her care during one of her viral knife dancing videos.
