Britney Spears In Pink Drawstring Returns To Dancing WITHOUT Her Knives
By Kristin Myers on October 1, 2023 at 9:30 AM EDT
Pop star Britney Spears might not be dancing with knives again for a while.
On Monday, the "Toxic" singer shared a video of her dancing in her living room while clinking knives together. Although she tried to assure her followers that they were fake, she turned to Instagram the following day to share a video that featured her dancing with a bandage around her arm, a cut on her leg, and a bruise on her lower back.
The concern prompted local law enforcement officials to conduct a welfare check on the "Overprotected" singer on Wednesday night; however, on Saturday night, Britney called it a "joke" and noted that she is getting an apology for the incident.

On Saturday night, the “Gimme More” singer shared a video of her dancing barefoot around the tiled floor in her living room. She is still wearing her pink drawstring bottoms, letting the side ties spin around her body as she spins in a circle. Instead of her white crop top with puffy sleeves, Britney is wearing a thinner white crop top as she moves her body to Indila’s “Love Story.”
In the caption of this Instagram post, Britney wrote, “The end of the song … when people are truly traumatized, it’s hard to stay present. I think it’s beautiful how she repeats you’re still here 🌹💕!!!” Comments on this Instagram post, like many of her recent Instagram posts, have been disabled.

About an hour before she posted her dancing video, the “Hold Me Closer” singer shared a quote attributed to 34-year-old artist, poet, activist, and author Cleo Wade. “Life will change you or you can change with life,” the quote begins.
“We are in motion. Everything we know is always moving,” it continues. “We can wrestle with this energy or we can dance with it. The choice is completely up to you.” Britney disabled comments on this Instagram post and did not write anything in the caption.
Britney Spears Seems To Slam Police For Welfare Check: 'It's About Power For Cops'

The very first Instagram post on Saturday night was of a ballerina standing on two knives that were standing straight up on the floor of a concert hall. It is easy to see why this photograph spoke to Britney in light of all that was happening. "Is it a joke in the news again with welfare checks??? Come on America … we cooler than that, right ???" she wrote in the caption.
"The officers came to my home and said they would not leave until they spoke to me as people do 4 minute performances with them. I am getting an apology. I’ve been bullied in my home for so long now…ITS ENOUGH!" she continued. "Don’t talk about it, come on, let’s DO !!! As my mom does the silent treatment when paps ask questions about her own daughter as if I’m in the wrong…nope it’s an old game. People need to be responsible for their actions! It’s about power for cops."
This is not the first time that police have conducted a welfare check on the pop star. In January 2023, local law enforcement officials showed up at her home after she deactivated her Instagram account and concerned fans called the police to check and make sure if she was all right.
Britney Says Her 'Privacy Was Invaded' During January 2023 Welfare Check
In a brief Twitter post that has since been deleted, the “Sometimes” singer said that her privacy was invaded during her last welfare check.
“As everyone knows the police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls. I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded,” Britney wrote. “The police never entered my home and when they came to my gate they quickly realized there was no issue and left immediately.”
“This felt like I was being gaslit and bullied once the incident made it to the news and being portrayed once again in a poor and unfair light by the media,” she continued. “During this time in my life, I truly hope the public and my fans who I care so much about can respect my privacy moving forward.”
She concluded her post by writing, "All the love, B."
