Pop star Britney Spears has decided to "push boundaries" and "take risks" by dancing with knives a second time.
The "Toxic" singer first took to Instagram to show off her knife dance on Monday night; however, the clink of the knives made fans question if they were actually real. On Tuesday night, she posted another Instagram video that featured her dancing with a cut on her leg, a bandage around her arm, and a bruise on her back.
On Tuesday night, she took to Instagram for a third time to tell her followers to "lighten up," claiming she was only copying Shakira's 2023 MTV Video Music Awards performance. However, it appears that not everyone was convinced, as police were called to conduct a welfare check on the pop star on Wednesday night.
Britney Spears In Pink Drawstring Dances With Knives Again: 'No Need To Call The Police'
On Thursday night, the “Hold Me Closer” singer danced barefoot on the floor of her living room in a white long-sleeve crop top, pink drawstring, and black necklace. She spins around and around, clinking the knives together as she dances.
This time, her dogs are nowhere to be seen in the video. Last time, fans were concerned by the towels on the floor and the way her dogs went running when they heard the knives hit against each other. This led fans to express concern for her dogs online, with some even venturing that the dogs should be removed from her care.
Ventura County Animal Services Finds No Reason To Remove 'Startled' Dogs From Her Care
However, Ventura County Animal Services told TMZ that they never actually received any official complaints. That being said, they still reviewed the video footage and did not find any reason to remove the dogs from her care.
“We reviewed the video, and while the dogs appeared to be startled by the clinking of the knives, we didn’t feel they were in a situation where an officer needed to be dispatched,” they told the outlet.
Britney Spears Insists The Knives Are FAKE
Despite the cuts that appeared on Britney’s body following her first knife dancing video, they cannot be seen in this one, leading some to suspect that Britney might have just been trolling her followers.
Although some still suspect that the knives are real, the Princess of Pop continued to double down on claims that they were fake in the caption of her latest dancing video, explaining exactly where her team reportedly rented the knives from.

In the caption, Britney wrote, “I know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from Hand Prop shop in LA. These are not real knives. No one needs to worry or call the police. I’m trying to imitate one of my favorite performers Shakira … a performance I was inspired by !!! Cheers to us bad girls who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks 💅🏼💅🏼💅🏼!”
She disabled comments on her Instagram page; however, the video got 241,000 likes in approximately four hours after she posted it.
