Sharna Burgess is dealing with feelings of hurt, confusion, and utter dismay after finding out she was not cast for season 32 of ''Dancing With The Stars.''

Burgess, who made her DWTS debut as a pro dancer in season 16 in 2013 and appeared in a total of 14 seasons, was crowned the winner in the 2018 season of the reality show alongside her partner, Bobby Bones.

Following the accomplishments she achieved in the show, it only felt natural for the pro dancer to expect to make the cut this forthcoming season. However, she learned of her uninvite and spoke candidly about her regret at not being invited to compete.

The pro dancer, being honest about her feelings, discussed the unpleasant news on the first episode of her new iHeartRadio podcast, ''Old-Ish.''

She shared a clip from the podcast on her Instagram, where she and her other co-hosts, boyfriend Brian Austin Green and Randy Spelling discussed the topic. Addressing the issue, Burgess claimed that while she took off season 31 when she had a baby, she was expecting to be invited back this year but was not called.

Sharna Burgess said, ''Last season I was supposed to come back but Zane was only eight weeks old. It just felt like I needed to sit in motherhood with Zane.'' She added, ''It was always, 'I want to come back next year,' and 'Of course, we love you, we'll always have you.'''

However, the ''DWTS'' alum revealed that she found out she was not being invited back when all the pros began getting calls to return – and she didn't.

In her words, ''Because it was such a shock because I wasn't expecting it, it was tough. It's not the first time. My last five years on the show have been rocky – not because of the show. I love the show deeply, but we had a new executive producer come in, I think five years ago now. I had just won with Bobby Bones and he decided to not bring me back. ''There's a lot of speculation as to why,'' Burgess added.

Further captioning the clip, the professional dancer revealed that she had to work through her feelings of ''disappointment'' about the show.  She noted that when the podcast was recorded she was still processing the news but tried her best to speak with ''a little grace and find my gratitude.''

''We talk about my last 5 years with the show and how (difficult) they've felt, how I feel not being asked, my insecurities that arise. I basically stumble my way through the thoughts in my head while @randyspelling and @brianaustingreen listen and help. Love them both,'' she penned.

Burgess clarified that it was not her intention to stir up any drama, adding, ''There's no shade, but maybe a little tea to sip on. Which at the end of the day is just me sharing my experience, truth and feelings.''

The mom of one noted that she is gradually getting past the hurt feeling, writing, ''Today I am feeling total joy, gratitude and deep love for all of it. Especially this space of freedom, family creativity and all that had already begun to align for me.''

Fans of the professional dancer took to the comments section to offer their support to Burgess while others shared their opinion on the matter. One fan wrote, ''I think they're just trying to have more variety this season with people who have never danced before v. Pros who have done it every single year.''

Another penned, ''I feel like this happened to Artem one time and then he came back and got the trophy. Everything happens for a reason so hopefully there is a good reason.''

A third revealed, ''About to listen to the podcast but ever since your win with Bobby Bones (which was due to the fans voting) I think for some reason they have boycotted you and it's not fair."

Burgess Was Previously Anticipating Her Comeback To The Reality Show

While the Australian-born choreographer has bravely addressed not being invited to compete in the 32nd season of ''DWTS,'' she was full of hope two months ago, when the cast had not been chosen.

In July, Sharna Burgess revealed her intentions on her Instagram Story about planning to compete on the hit reality TV show after a one-year hiatus.

Engaging her fans on her story, the ''DWTS'' alum disclosed, ''I would love to come back and dance. I am really craving dance and creating and even competing! I feel like that I want that edge and feeling of competing for something.''

The mom of one noted that although she was looking forward to being on screen again, she has no regrets about taking time off to focus on herself. She wrote, ''I missed it last year I know but I do not regret that decision because of what I did get to share with Zane. I have absolutely zero regret about these last 12 months. But I am so ready to dance.''
