Rebel Wilson is planning to surprise fans with a new “unrecognizable” look only a month after experiencing an accident on an independent movie set.
Fans would recall that the Australian actress was hospitalized for getting hit in the face with the butt of a gun amid filming a fighting scene in Savannah, Georgia.
Fortunately, she has recovered from her facial injuries and is now back to work, with a scheduled “total makeover” session coming up, which she excitedly shared with her social media followers.
Rebel Wilson Excites Fans With News Of ‘Total Makeover’ On Her Instagram Story
The “Pitch Perfect” star, widely loved for her unfiltered social media updates, took to her Instagram Story with news of her plans to alter her appearance, but not permanently. “I’m getting a total makeover,” she announced. “You won’t even recognize me!” Wilson also attached a photo of herself rocking a vivid red body-hugging and collared jumpsuit.
The ensemble featured a zipper, which she fastened halfway, and a red band connected to a silver buckle around her waist. Her lustrous blonde hair was bound in a high ponytail, cascading down her back while she also sported a side fringe framing parts of her face.
The post was a collaborative ad with the tagged brands “@abbottglaobal” and “@concussionawarenessnow,” similar to her follow-up update, showing a closer view of the “Isn’t It Romantic” star. She looked thoughtfully at the camera while raising one hand, compared to the first photo, where she struck an amazed expression with her hands on her waist.
In the featured text overlay Wilson raved about her “whole new look” and added, “I can’t wait to surprise you. Check back Sept. 15th!” Fans may recall that the “Pitch Perfect” star stunned the world in 2021 with a jaw-dropping transformation after losing a whopping 80 lbs.
It is unsure if she is undergoing a procedure or hoping to lose more weight. Nevertheless, fans were undoubtedly relieved to see the “Super Fun Night” actress’s face was in good shape compared to when she sported a small scar on her nose from her accident on set.
Updating her fans on the progress of her healing face on her Instagram Story, she used a makeup-free video of herself looking cheery despite the wound. Wilson first greeted viewers and appreciated them for their support after her accident. Shen then zoomed in on her scar, assuring them that she had “actually been healing quite amazing.”
The mother-of-one also pointed out that the stitches had “dissolved” before elaborating on how the on-set accident happened. In her words:
“I had done all these kick-ass fight sequences and then, just in the last one, got hit in the face with the butt of a gun. So it was a complete accident, and it was such a shock.”
Wilson then repeated that she was healing quite nicely and wanted to thank everyone for their well wishes, hoping she would be “totally, totally fine.”
Although filming an action movie was fun for the Teen Choice Award winner, she noted that it could be “a bit dangerous at times.” Still, she felt good, thanks to her fan club. The update came on the heels of a posted picture emphasizing the damage her face suffered. Wilson was seen in a selfie, not looking her best as she sported dark eyes and a swollen nose.
The bloody injury was centered on the bridge of her nose and nostrils, causing her to be hospitalized, as revealed in the attached caption. “NOT the way I wanted to end this movie,” the 43-year-old actress penned. “Three stitches and in hospital last night after a stunt accident at 4 am.”
The ‘Pooch Perfect’ Host Proudly Divulged Her Daughter’s First Word In A Candid Interview
Earlier in August, Wilson was all about her daughter Royce’s delightful milestone, which she shared with E! News, indicating the tot spoke her first words.
“She just last week had her first word, which was mum,” the overjoyed mother announced, adding that she had been training the little one for that moment for a while.
She said, “I was like, ‘Ahhh!!’ because I have been trying to coach her in saying that for the last few weeks. And then she said it, and I recorded it on my phone, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh.'”
After echoing her daughter’s first words, Wilson voiced her wish to have another child if possible. She also stated that she would not mind having Royce, whom she shares with Ramona Agruma, as her only baby.
