Fans Slam Kourtney Kardashian For Glamorizing Pregnancy After Fetal Surgery Saga

Kourtney Kardashian, pregnant for a few months, inspires fellow women worldwide with her story.

This comes after she suffered some complications with the baby, causing her to undergo fetal surgery, during which her husband Travis Barker had to return home from his Europe tour to be by her side.

While Kourtney is preaching the good news about being with a child, some of her fans are not supportive as they believe she is romantic and not genuine about the condition.

Kourtney tells the world that "pregnancy is so empowering" over a week after undergoing fetal surgery to save her unborn child's life. She recently dropped a series of striking pictures on her Instagram feed, indicating she was back, more vital than ever, and naturally with her unrivaled style.

In the black-and-white images, the "KUWTK" alum sat gracefully on a chair, cradling her baby bump. She was dressed in an all-black ensemble, comprising a long leather skirt and a matching jacket, alongside a lacy high-neck top beneath, complementing her lacy gloves.

Over a million admirers typically reacted to the post with likes, whereas several slammed her in the comments for glamorizing her condition. One such commenter opined, "Pregnancy is so glamorized. It's beautiful but hard. Let's talk about the hard more so girls don't think of it just being this glamorous walk in the park."

Another added, "Pregnancy doesn't need to be glorified. It's not glitz and glamor, that's for sure." Similarly, a third follower pointed out that the expectant mother, who just had surgery, was already taking photos instead of resting.

"You walk out of the hospital after having fetal surgery, am I right? Yes, and now you're just taking pictures of yourself, and supposedly [you're] to rest," they wrote. "Yet, you're not. All this & sounds suspicious, big time! I'm not the only person who thinks this, too."

A fellow critic then questioned, "What is empowering about being told you can't do anything for nine months?" before one more remarked, "For urgent fetal surgery, there's still time for ridiculous photo shoots??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️." 

A sixth commenter followed: "Kourtney, you don't look very empowered in these pics. Looks more like 'can't wait until this is over. God bless you and your new son.'❤️."

The criticism comes from Kourtney's fetal surgery update, which she shared on Instagram on Wednesday, September 6. Using a black and white snap of herself and Travis holding hands on her hospital bed, she first expressed gratitude to her "incredible doctors" for saving their baby's life.

The 44-year-old also penned, "I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterward, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this."

As someone who has had three "straightforward" pregnancies in the past," she admitted that she was not ready for the "fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery."

The experience made her "have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant." In conclusion, she thanked God for the successful procedure and for leaving the hospital with her baby bump intact.

Subsequently, Travis took to X, formerly called Twitter, to share the news of his wife's condition, appreciating supporters and acknowledging God's greatness in the success of the "life-threatening emergency surgery for our baby."

Days after Kourtney opened up to fans concerning her hospitalization, she delivered a message about faith and dependence on God using several Bible scriptures.

The mentioned verses included John 15:5, Ephesians 6:10, and Genesis 1:26 – 27. As seen on her Instagram Story, a part of the divine message read:

"However, I love you too much to withdraw the godlike privilege I bestowed on you as My image-bearer. Use your freedom wisely by relying on Me constantly. Thus, you enjoy My Presence and My Peace."

The mom-of-three then hinted, using snippets from John 15:5, that she could overcome her medical challenge with God's grace. The extract read, "If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing."
