Most of Beckinsale's fans or social media followers know Clive, Beckinsale's Persian cat who recently passed away, in June. To heal, she has gone ahead and gotten a tattoo of his face on her arm, and the detailing is absolutely stunning.

She captioned the images, "This has really helped. Thank you so much," adding the name of the tattoo artist.

Plenty of celebrities added in their delight as Michelle Pfeiffer commented, "That is so beautiful" and Kat Dennings also added, "I love it."

Many fans also shared touching stories from their life, like this one, "that is a wonderful tribute. They make such an impact in a short time with us. I lost my Lab to cancer 9 years ago and I named my business after him. To this day, I call him my silent business partner."

The actress who often dressed Clive in the most ridiculous of outfits for the sweetest of pictures wrote also posted about her pet's passing, writing "Clive has died. I don’t have it in me to make a montage or even look at pictures of him yet. Every single part of my house feels like he should be in it. If anyone is expecting to hear from me, you may not for a bit and I’m sorry. My heart is absolutely and totally broken. 2004-2023."

Now, it seems she's feeling a little better, and the tattoo is definitely a stunner as well...

Later, in another post, Beckinsale tried to put on a brave face, although she did say that she didn't know a month in which she "cried more or had more terror." She also was thankful for family and friends, further wrote "You know who you are and we wouldn’t have made it without you. I am utterly humbled by all your kindness for the loss I still can’t really speak about without sobbing and everything that came and still comes after."

She recently posted a tribute for Clive as well, interspersed by pictures of her mother undergoing treatment in the hospital, looking ravaged with grief. At the time, the "Underworld" actress wrote, "Embrace joy. Accept grief. Wear feathers. Sing. Do what makes you feel happy even for a moment. Pair grief and sickness and fear with as much life and laughter and celebration as you possibly can. It doesn’t mean you are having some sort of crisis. It means you are choosing life, fiercely."

Fans could feel echoes of her pain as she continued to write, "Be brave, and when you don’t feel brave, listen. Laugh hard, dance hard, cry hard, love hard with those you trust. Spread love when you can. Read. Stay in bed and cry when it’s from all sides and feels like an avalanche. Try not to be mean, or to take on others' meanness. People can break. Be kind. Fight with everything you’ve got for your loved ones, and for your own spirit x."

Fans and followers rallied for Kate, sending her lots of lovely messages and support. Wrote Selma Blair, "Kate. I’m so sorry for this pain. So much love for you." while Paris Hilton added, "Love you, beautiful soul."

Another fan also wrote, "The letting go of love. True love, is brutal. I’m a bit biased as a vet nurse, but love, love as an ‘animal’ (hate that term) knows to express innately, has nothing to do with what you look like, what your accomplishments are, your titles…it’s just your presence. They just want your presence."

Kate was definitely there!
