Kate Beckinsale Shares Emotional Message About 'Choosing Life' Amid Mom's Hospitalization

Amid a challenging time as her mother faces hospitalization, Kate Beckinsale has delivered a moving message that resonates deeply.

Their close connection is clear to followers of the "Jolt" star on her social media, where she often posts heartwarming moments featuring her. The actress had it tough these past few months, especially with the additional loss of her cat, Clive. 

The actress took to Instagram to open up to her fans with a touching message about embracing grief. She accompanied the heartfelt post with a collection of images, including pictures of her mother, Judy Loe, during her hospitalization and selfies with her deceased pet. 

The photo carousel comprises three images of the 75-year-old undergoing tests in the hospital, a close-up of Beckinsale's teary eyes, and a snapshot of Clive's casket bearing the inscription: "Clive, a truly distinguished gentleman."

The "Much Ado About Nothing" actress penned in the caption, "Embrace joy. Accept grief. Wear feathers. Sing. Do what makes you feel happy even for a moment. Pair grief and sickness and fear with as much life and laughter and celebration as you possibly can. It doesn't mean you are having some sort of crisis. It means you are choosing life, fiercely." 

In her message, the 50-year-old encouraged her devotees to be brave, listen to oneself, embrace laughter and tears, cherish moments with trusted individuals, and share love whenever possible.

She continued, "Read. Stay in bed and cry when it's from all sides and feels like an avalanche. Try not to be mean, or to take on others meanness. People can break. Be kind. Fight with everything you've got for your loved ones, and for your own spirit x." 

Celebrity friends of the "Underworld" star rallied to offer well-wishes, including Paris Hilton and Michelle Pfeiffer, who wrote, "?love you beautiful soul?," and "Sending love ?" respectively.

The mother-of-one also received an outpouring of support from her fans. Among the comments, one user wrote, "@katebeckinsale stay strong, you and your family are in our prayers! God bless ?❤️." Meanwhile, another person stated, "?✨?️ you and yours inspire us all. shine on ?✨." 

Back in June, the "Brokedown Palace" star turned to Instagram to announce the passing of her cherished pet cat. The accompanying photo captured a touching moment, showing her gently cradling him in a pink blanket while he peacefully rested beneath her chin.

In the caption, she expressed her difficulty creating "a montage or even look at pictures of him yet." The heartbroken star continued, "Every single part of my house feels like he should be in it. If anyone is expecting to hear from me, you may not for a bit, and I'm sorry. My heart is absolutely and totally broken. 2004-2023." 

In April, Beckinsale, in a candid revelation, disclosed how scammers impersonated her and deceived several men into believing they were in a relationship with her. The catfishers even went so far as to invite these victims to her Los Angeles residence, causing the "Alice through the Looking Glass" star and her then-boyfriend, Goody Grace, to live in perpetual unease.

Speaking to her Instagram followers, "The Widow" actress emphasized the gravity of the situation. She revealed that multiple men from various states traveled to Los Angeles and appeared at her "doorstep late at night" for a few weeks. 

Consequently, some men faced embarrassment upon discovering the truth, while others were arrested. The "Love & Friendship" actress noted that the distressing encounter left her and Grace "completely freaked out" and compelled her to relocate. 

Shockingly, the scammers even went so far as to create counterfeit social media profiles for her beloved pet cat Clive, who had gained fame on social platforms. Urging her fanbase to be cautious of online catfishing, Beckinsale stressed that any messages supposedly from her were scams. She encouraged them to report and block the fraudsters immediately.

The "Enigma" actress stated, "It's NOT me, and you are being taken advantage of. Please report and block anyone doing this to you. Long story short, if you think I'm messaging you, it's not me." Additionally, she emphasized that her assistant was not authorized to communicate on her behalf.
