Famous Friends Show Support For Britney Spears Amid Sam Asghari Split

It looks like Britney Spears has a lot of support in her corner following her highly public divorce from Sam Asghari.

On Wednesday night, a source had told Page Six that the 29-year-old actor was reportedly “attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with extraordinarily embarrassing information about Britney unless he gets paid.”

This comment has not sat well with fans and friends alike, and although Sam later insisted that he would not challenge the prenup, it hasn’t stopped famous friends from making it clear who they were supporting in the split.

Following the news of the divorce, singer Pinkchanged the lyrics of her 2001 hit song “Don’t Let Me Get Me” during a stop on her Summer Carnival tour in Detroit, Michigan. She changed the line “Tired of being compared to d*mn Britney Spears” to “sweet Britney Spears.”

In February 2023, the “Try” singer said that she felt like a “very protective” big sister to the pop star in an interview with People magazine. “People think I was picking on Britney on ‘Don’t Let Me Get Me,’ but I’ve always felt like a big sister to her,” Pink said at the time. “I’m very protective of her, and she’s the sweetest person in the world.”

On Thursday night, the “Toxic” singer took to Instagram with a cryptic caption. “How do you read this ??? It’s interesting !!! I see it as a message in a bottle !!! Or a baby who needs to get out !!!” she wrote. “They whisper the poison like in Alice In Wonderland and they wait to see if they have the cure !!! Wise birds know who they are ??? !!!”

Some fans have wondered if the “Baby One More Time” singer is the “baby who needs to get out” of her relationship. Although fans aren’t sure if this is a dig at Sam Asghari, BFF Paris Hilton liked the post as a subtle show of support.

Actress Octavia Spencerwarned the pop star to "make him sign a prenup" shortly after Britney announced that she was engaged to the actor in September 2021. She later took to Instagram to apologize amid backlash. “Y’all, a few days ago Sam and Britney announced their engagement and me being me I made a joke,” she wrote at the time. “My intention was to make them laugh not cause pain.”

“I’ve reached out to this lovely couple privately to apologize and now want to restore just a smidge of happiness they were robbed of. Britney’s fans have seen her through a lot of pain and she’s found happiness. We’re thrilled for her. So let’s show them love,” she concluded along with the hashtag “no negativity.”

However, things didn’t end there. After Sam threatened to go public “with extraordinarily embarrassing information” about the pop star, the “Hidden Figures” actress wrote that “extortion is illegal” in an August 17 Instagram comment, as per Page Six.

Sam has since claimed that he will not challenge the prenup.

Kevin Federline was married to Britney Spears from 2004 to 2007. Together, they share two teenage sons: Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden James, 16.

His attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told Page Six that K-Fed “just hopes that everything works out for the best, whether that’s being together or not being together,” adding, “He wishes her the best.”

On Saturday, one source told The Sun that the "Queen of Pop" Madonnawants to be there for the "Princess of Pop" after attending Britney's wedding to Sam Asghari in June 2022.

“Madonna feels very maternal towards Britney. She has always been a rock for her behind the scenes and this is no different,” the insider divulged. “She wants Britney to know she’s not alone and anything she needs — legal support or otherwise — she is there to help.”

Jamie Lynn Spears may have also attempted to make a subtle show of support for her older sister. Podcast host Amanda Hirsch took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday night to share a screenshot of an Instagram post showing a People magazine article with the headline “Britney Spears and Husband Sam Asghari Separate After 14 Months of Marriage: Sources.”

Although a screenshot shows that the "Zoey 102" star had "liked" the post, she later "unliked" it, although fans aren't quite sure if the "like" was accidental. Unfortunately, reports have indicated that Britney is still "very angry" at her mother and her sister due to the alleged abuse that she suffered during her conservatorship, which lasted from February 2008 to November 2021.
