Singer Britney Spears was married to her ex-husband Kevin Federline from 2004 to 2007 and shares two children together: Sean Preston Federline, 17, and Jayden James Federline, 16.

The 41-year-old pop star gave her consent to let her two boys move to Hawaii earlier this month, as Kevin's current wife, former volleyball player Victoria Prince, was offered a job at a sports department at a university in Hawaii. Although the two boys are safe from the wildfires in Hawaii, they are still understandably upset by watching the destruction taking place in their new home state.

Fortunately, Kevin Federline did not move his family to Maui, where homes and businesses are being destroyed by the horrifying wildfires taking place there. However, sources told TMZ on Friday that the boys are still nonetheless upset to see all of the destruction that is occurring there. They moved into a rental on a neighboring island two weeks ago and are still looking for a permanent place to call home.

The two boys have been estranged from their mother for over a year and did not attend her June 2022 wedding to actor Sam Asghari, despite living nearby. They also opted not to visit Britney in person before they moved to Hawaii and it is not clear if Britney has any plans to visit them, especially with the wildfires ravaging most of the island of Maui.

Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told Page Six that the boys are “very sad” by the devastation that is currently occurring in Maui.

“[They are] not personally [affected], but there are people in the area that are dying and having their homes destroyed, so it’s very traumatic,” he said. “Obviously, right now, everyone is very sad about what’s going on there with the fires and the casualties from the fires, but other than the trauma from that, they’re very happy to be there.”

Aside from the fires, though, the boys are reportedly as happy as can be to be living in Hawaii. “They’re excited about it. They’re living in paradise,” he said, adding, “They love it there. They had been there before they decided to make the move, but they’re very happy there.”

Although Kaplan said that there is some “trauma” from the wildfires, he said that the boys are “very excited” to be “building a future in a new environment, making new friends, and exploring new opportunities.”

Sources told the outlet that Preston will start attending school in Hawaii while Jayden finishes up classes remotely at his school in Los Angeles. Britney has yet to comment about how she feels about her sons being in Hawaii during the wildfires, but she did share a video of her dancing and flipping off the camera on Instagram on Thursday night.

Hawaii Native Jason Momoa Shares Footage of the Destruction

Actor Jason Momoa has been sharing images and videos of the destruction on his Instagram page. In a repost from the Instagram page Protect Mauna a Wākea, the “Aquaman” actor brought awareness to his millions of followers.

“Aloha Kakahiaka Lāhui. First of all, we want to mahalo everyone near and far for all their love and support. We appreciate everyone’s outpouring of love, generosity, volunteering, everything. It doesn’t go unnoticed,” they wrote in the caption alongside before and after photos showing the devastation from the wildfires.

“The thing that makes Maui No Ka ʻOi is our Aloha, and it’s in that same spirit of aloha that our kūpuna instilled in us that we malama each other,” they continued. “Aloha always wins.”

The actor also shared an Instagram post that contained slides of information about the wildfires from the ʻĀina Momona nonprofit organization. “We are devastated and heartbroken for our friends and ‘ohana on Maui who have been impacted by the recent wildfires,” he wrote in the caption. “Link in our bio to organizations that are helping.”

The report explained that drought conditions and hurricane weather cause wildfires to sweep across the island of Maui, prompting many to evacuate with only the clothes on their backs. Many different towns in Maui have been affected, but the town of Lahaina has been reportedly wiped off the map by the devastation.

“‘Āina Momona is standing up this fundraiser to support our Maui community.
