Although Kevin Federline was the first to say that his two teenage sons haven't seen their mother, Britney Spears, in over a year, he is not going to force them to see her before the family moves to Hawaii.

The former couple was married from 2004 to 2007 and shares two children together: Sean Preston Federline, 17, and Jayden James Federline, 16. Although the boys haven't seen their mother in over a year and skipped her wedding to Iranian actor Sam Asghari last June, it appears they will not stop by to wish her farewell in person as they move from their home in California to Hawaii.

Just because Kevin Federline won't force his two teenage boys to see their mother before the family packs their bags and moves to Hawaii doesn't mean that they won't see her, of course. However, sources told TMZ that K-Fed is letting the children make their own decision as to whether or not they should see their mother in person before they make the move from L.A. to one of the Hawaiian islands this August.

At this time, insiders believe that neither Jayden nor Sean knows if they will see their mother before they move, which speaks to how estranged their relationship has become in recent years. Sources claim that K-Fed is encouraging the boys to see their mother; however, he will not force them to if they decide that they do not want to.

Back in May, TMZ reported that Kevin was looking to move to Hawaii because his wife, former volleyball player Victoria Prince, had been offered a job in a sports department at a university in Hawaii. However, many Britney fans think that the DJ is just trying to score more child support from the pop star, given that the age of child support lasts until age 23 in the state of Hawaii.

One of the children does have to be enrolled full-time in a college, university, vocational school, or trade school, in order to be eligible for more child support. At this time, it is unclear whether or not Sean or Jayden intends to pursue an education after they graduate high school or whether they will follow their famous parents into the music industry.

Just last week, the "Hold Me Closer" singer took to Instagram to share a single photo of Jayden lying on his stomach while playing video games. She captioned the photo with the Chinese character "mine" but wrote nothing else.

However, it's worth noting that these are not the only throwback photos that she has shared of her sons after she formally gave her consent to let her sons move to Hawaii.

Britney Spears Shares A Photo Of Her 'First Love' Ahead Of Her Sons' Move To Hawaii

In early June, the 41-year-old pop star took to Instagram to share a single photo of her son, Sean, posing for a photo in front of a blank wall in a collared shirt.

“My first love !!!” Britney wrote in the caption.

Only two days before, the "Gimme More" singer shared a photograph of her son, Jayden. He looks to be only about four years old at the time the photo was taken.

While Britney still has a lot of love for her sons and most likely wouldn't mind continuing to fund their education, Kevin Federline called the assumption that he was only moving to Hawaii to get more child support "stupid" when he was confronted by paparazzi outside of a McDonald's just last week.

When asked about the claims in a video obtained by Page Six Kevin responded, "A lot of people say a lot of stupid things."

In a separate report from Page Six, Britney’s attorney, Mathew Rosengart, sent out a fiery letter to Kevin’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan for making the family's move public.

Rosengart said that he “did not anticipate a dispute” when he was contacted about the move back in April. At the time, he asked for the situation to remain “private for the sake and dignity of all parties involved, including the children.”

In his letter, Rosengart wrote, “It was more than disappointing that you nevertheless chose to publicize this matter, creating unnecessary drama and a false ‘dispute’ by publicly discussing the issue and your letter.”
