The protective order that singer Britney Spears got against her ex-husband, Jason Alexander, is expiring on Friday, August 11, 2023 -- which could make for a very dangerous situation.

The two were married for 55 hours in 2004 after eloping in Las Vegas. It's unclear how much contact the two had until he tried to crash her June 2022 wedding to actor Sam Asghari in their Thousand Oaks home, but she will not be able to get it renewed until he tries to contact her again.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, an active " No Contact with" Protective Order in Criminal Proceedings for named victim Britney Spears was filed on August 11, 2022. The sealed Protective Order is scheduled to expire on Friday, August 11, 2023.

In June 2022, Jason went live on Instagram and approached security outside of Britney’s house, claiming that the pop star had invited him. After security denied him interest, the two got into a physical struggle, and his phone froze. It’s not clear how he was able to get past security, but he made it into her house, and according to some reports, even made it up to her bedroom!

Fortunately, he was not able to see or make contact with the “Toxic” singer at any time. He was dragged out by security, who were able to hold him until law enforcement officials intervened. A spokesperson for the Venture County Sheriff’s office said that police would stay on the scene for Britney’s wedding, just to make sure the rest of the event went smoothly. Fortunately, there were no further incidents.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the pop star's ex-husband was charged with a stalking felony, misdemeanor counts of trespassing, and refusing to leave private property, vandalism, and battery a few days after the wedding. At the time, he pleaded not guilty to all charges, but in August 2022, he was found guilty of both trespassing and battery charges.

Both the "Gimme More" singer and Richard Eubeler, the security guard who confronted him at the wedding, were granted a three-year restraining order against him. In a follow-up interview with the Daily Mail, Jason claimed that he crashed the wedding because he didn't actually believe that she was getting married. “It’s all for show. A Hollywood script,” he said of Britney's marriage to the former personal trainer. “I don’t think she looks happy. That whole thing is not real.”

“I couldn’t let her get married with the conversations we’ve had over the last two years,” he continued. “I wasn’t there to cause harm. I was just there to Speak to Britney and make sure she was okay, and this is what she wanted.”

As The Blast previously reported, Jason Alexander was arrested last week after he allegedly stalked a woman at a gym, confronted her in front of her child, and then followed her home. According to the court documents, Jason reportedly texted a woman that he met at a gym and followed her around the gym and even out into the parking lot.

The unnamed woman claims that Jason confronted her in the parking lot at a LifeTime Fitness gym in Franklin, Tennessee, on June 17. She said that she told Jason to leave her alone, but instead, he reportedly sent her dozens of text messages and even called her several times. One day after she confronted him in the parking lot, the woman claims Jason drove past her house.

According to the legal documents, the woman says that he drove by her house, turned around, and then drove past her home again slowly. He also approached her at the pool’s gym when she was with her child, who is a minor. Last Wednesday, law enforcement officials arrested Britney Spears’ ex-husband again. It is unclear if he posted bail, but he was being held on a $50,000 bond.

This is far from the first time that Jason Alexander has been in trouble with the law. Jason served 128 days in jail after crashing Britney’s wedding, but only a few months later, he was arrested again for an alleged jewelry theft that dated back to 2016.
