According to TMZ, Spears' ex-husband, Alexander, was arrested on charges of stalking, although it is unlikely Spears is the party on the receiving end.

Alexander was arrested and reprimanded in a Tennessee jail on Wednesday, and it remains unclear if he has been issued a bail amount or court date in connection with the charge.

The details surrounding the arrest have been closely guarded, with authorities remaining tight-lipped about the other parties involved in the incident that led to the charges. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Alexander noted that the reason he crashed Spears' wedding to Asghari was because he didn't believe she was truly getting married and wanted to see it with his eyes.

"I couldn't let her get married with the conversations we've had over the last two years," he said. "I wasn't there to cause harm. I was just there to Speak to Britney and make sure she was okay, and this is what she wanted."

According to the news outlet, he noted that he also feared the "Gimme More" singer was being forced to marry Asghari against her will, especially after spending the last 13 years under a conservatorship.

"It's all for show. A Hollywood script," Alexander said of the marriage. "I don't think she looks happy. That whole thing is not real."

Spears and Alexander got married at Las Vegas' Little White Chapel in 2004, but the marriage only lasted 55 hours before annulment.

"How long does it take for someone to get out of abuse? It's not worth it. The money. The status. Pleasing people," he added, including the hashtags "#domesticviolence," "#love," and "#courage."
