Chase Chrisley Shares Cryptic Messages After Split From Emmy Medders

As fans are aware, the "Chrisley Knows Best" alum recently called off his engagement with his ex-girlfriend Emmy Medders. However, in the wake of his social media announcement, he uploads a short, cryptic statement hinting at the reason for their break up.

The reality TV star took to his Instagram Stories to share some views on relationships. The reflective uploads appear to be directly related to his split with Medders as they precisely mention key phrases such as “putting oneself first” and flying solo when another party tries to "weigh you down."

His first post read, "You wanna fly, you got to give up the sh*t that weighs you down." But Chrisley’s cryptic shares did not stop there. He followed it up with another quote that read, "The best thing I did was learn to stop fighting for someone who was okay with losing me."

While the television personality did not elaborate beyond the vague Instagram uploads, the timing is certainly curious. He posted them just a few days after confirming his split from the “Elegant Tans by Emmy” founder.

Chrisley and Medders’ romance has had its fair share of ups and downs. They had gotten back together in 2022 and engaged in October of the same year after falling out the previous year.

However, any hope of reconciliation was crushed when the pair wiped each other from their respective social media pages, raising the eyebrows of eagle-eyed fans, who questioned their relationship status. Attempting to clear the air, the 27-year-old issued a statement on Tuesday, July 25, which read:

"Everybody has been asking a lot of questions regarding Emmy and myself. We both agreed to part ways and move on with our lives separately. Thank you for respecting our privacy."

The sad news comes just nine months after the TV star popped the question with a 3.5-carat oval diamond ring. The social media influencer has yet to address the split publicly, and while the rumors of their breakup were swirling around, Chrisley’s siblings have also unfollowed his ex.

Way before the twosome "agreed to part ways," Medders revealed the break-up she and Chrisley endured before getting engaged. When two people from different backgrounds meet and decide to be together for a long time, they are bound to have disputes.

This fact was the case for the now-exes as described by Medders on her then soon-to-be sister-in-law, Savannah’s podcast, “Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley." Per The Blast, during their chat, the 26-year-old admitted that their relationship has struggled through its fair share of “ups and downs,” including “one major break.”

Narrating the fallout, the blonde beauty said, "We started talking right before COVID hit. It was on and off, and then we were doing really well, and then we did have one, like, major break-up where we didn’t talk for like — I want to say it was two months, but it was probably more like two weeks."

She also acknowledged that “[the separation] felt like two months for me.” Medders explained that the couple continued to work on their relationship since they returned to each other, a move she swore made things “great” for them.

Although the pair are no longer together or walking down the aisle, they had definitely looked in love and excited for their future when Chrisley broke the news of their engagement on Instagram. 

From the photos the reality star shared, the romantic proposal occurred in an empty stadium decorated with heart-shaped rose petals and an entangled ring balloon.

The first slide showed Chrisley on one knee, seemingly popping the question, while the following snap displayed him holding his finaceè’s hand as he led her down the field.

Subsequent shots featured the couple waving their hands before hugging themselves. The last frame highlighted the gorgeous diamond ring the groom-to-be had proposed to Medders with. These amazing images were closed with the sweetest caption ever. He wrote:

"I am the luckiest man in the world, being able to call you mine forever is a blessing straight from God. You are the sunshine when it’s dark, you are the rain when it’s dry. I love you more than life itself and can’t wait to live forever with you! To you my love! Thank you for taking me FOREVER!! @emmymedders."
