Beckinsale explains it the best, as she captioned the video, "It’s a birthday tradition for my bestie of 35 years to send me “Careless Whispers” in the style of her Greek Cypriot father singing it and immediately receive one back. Fans wished Beckinsale with sweet comments although we have to laud this user, who was rather truthful, saying, "You are adorable but I think George Michael is turning in his grave."

Every single part of my house feels like he should be in it. If anyone is expecting to hear from me, you may not for a bit and I’m sorry. My heart is absolutely and totally broken. 2004-2023."
