Valerie Bertinelli is going out in the sweetest way possible! The entertainer wrapped up her cooking gig on Food Network by paying homage to legendary actress Betty White.

The 63-year-old rose to fame in the 70s for her award-winning performance in the sitcom "One Day at a Time." Down the line, she earned numerous recognitions for her TV appearances, especially as a cook.

However, the mother of one's days of sharing recipes on the cable channel is over as the platform canceled her longtime show. In the final episode of her "Valerie's Home Cooking" series, the Wilmington native shared a tasty dish in memory of her late friend.

Taking to their Instagram page, Food Network shared a snippet from the "Touched by an Angel" star's latest episode on their platform. In the video, the TV personality donned a sheer outfit illustrated with red flower patterns, pairing the summer look with black undergarments.

The brunette rocked her shoulder-length hair in bouncy waves and completed her look with soft glam makeup. She accentuated her facial features with defined eyebrows, blushed-up cheeks, and pink glossy lips.

"Today, we are celebrating my dear friend, the ultimate golden girl. So come on into my kitchen," the 63-year-old chimed at the start of the clip before the introduction cut in. Raving about her relationship with the late icon, the Wilmington native continued:

"There was no one like Ms. Betty White. I am so lucky to have known and worked with her for so long. So today's menu is all to honor her."

As the Golden Globe Award winner spoke about her connection to the deceased, pictures of White flashed across the screen. The snaps included the late animal lover posing with wild cats and a shot from her scenes with Bertinelli on the "Hot in Cleveland" show.

The walk down memory lane ended with a clip of the Food Network star hugging the late entertainer. Getting into the episode's content, the Hollywood Walk of Fame honoree stated she would be preparing a meal with the late actress's favorites.

"Famously, two of Betty's favorites were vodka and red licorice. So I am making homemade lemonade vodka and red licorice stuffed cupcakes," Bertinelli announced as shots of the finished items flashed across the screen. "And to round out the meal, a little something for me, crispy salmon summer rolls."

The 63-year-old reshared the clip on her Instagram Story alongside the tear-jerking message that this was her final "Valerie's Home Cooking" episode. The Daytime Emmy Award winner's farewell message read, "And that's a wrap on Valerie's Home Cooking. Thank you all so much for watching. It's been a pleasure to cook for you."

Fans Implore Food Network To Renew The Cooking Show Following The Final Episode

Naturally, the "Kids Baking Championship" host's fans were heartbroken over the news of her final episode. These devotees trooped to Food Network's Instagram page to fight for Bertinelli's show, begging the cable channel to renew the program.

"Please keep Valerie's show! It's my favorite one along with Kardea," a person pleaded while another dropped points for the broadcast platform to consider. "Please keep this show on the air. These are recipes we can make, nothing hard and complicated."

Someone else believed the Wilmington native's show might have been affected by another program in the same time slot and advised Food Network on the best way forward.

The individual penned: "!!!! Keep Valerie's show on Food Network in a different time slot instead of repeats with Pioneer Woman." More pleas for the brunette's Cooking program reigned over the comment section, with a fan declaring: "We need her show on Food Network"!

"KEEP VALERIE'S SHOW ON!" a social media user bluntly requested with others joining the fight by using the hashtags "#keepvaleriebertinelli" and "keepvaleriebertinellionfoodnetwork." Another passionate fan cried: "Please keep @wolfiesmom on!! We ❤ ❤ her!!"

"DO NOT CANCEL HER SHOW!!!!! @wolfiesmom is the only show I watch on your network now!" an unhappy fan confessed. Someone else wondered about the cancellation, inquiring: "Why did the network cancel Valerie's home cooking show, aka @wolfiesmom? Bring her back or create a different show for her."

A few commented on Bertinelli's tribute to White, with someone sweetly penning: "Such a wonderful show & tribute to the truly wonderful Betty White @wolfiesmom. Such a delightful menu! @foodnetwork reestablish Valerie's Home Cooking!!"

In April, the SAG Award nominee revealed her program would be canceled after its 14th season. The announcement came via an Instagram reel, where the 63-year-old confessed she had gotten the bad news last summer without a reason.
