Betty White is being remembered on her posthumous birthday.

It is hard to believe that it has been a year since the passing of the beloved star who began her career in the entertainment industry in the 1940s and quickly made a name for herself as a talented actress and comedian. January 17th would have been her 101st birthday, and fans worldwide took the time to remember her and all of the joy she brought to many lives through her many roles on television and film.

Having appeared in various programs, including "Life with Elizabeth," her role as Rose Nylund on "The Golden Girls" cemented her place in the hearts of television viewers.

With her quick wit and charming delivery, White quickly became one of the most beloved actresses of her generation. She was known for her ability to bring humor to even the darkest of situations, and her performances always left audiences feeling uplifted and entertained.

Twitter was abuzz with tributes to her, starting with this user who wrote, "Betty White was the purest and most genuine soul 😭❀️" Another fan stated, "Happy Birthday, Betty White. You were effin' awesome. You always will be ... πŸ₯³πŸ–• #BettyWhite #Birthday."

On tweeter posted a clip from a movie she was in writing, "Happy Heavenly Birthday, dear Betty White, here portraying the outwardly-saccharine, inwardly-acid-tongued Sue-Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Still missed."

Someone mentioned that former first lady of the United States Michelle Obama was her birthday mate, writing, "Today is Michelle Obama's birthday, and it would have been the 101st birthday of #BettyWhite."

A heartbroken fan typed, "Hard to believe this is the 2nd January 17th without Betty White. Hard to believe today would have been her 101st birthday. Hard to believe we will never share the earth with Betty White again. She is so missed. Happy birthday Betty #BettyWhite."

White was also known for her philanthropy, particularly her work with animals. She was a vocal advocate for animal rights and supported numerous animal welfare organizations throughout her life.

This other person credited her as their reason for donating to animal welfare and explained why noting, "Each year I celebrate # BettyWhite's birthday by donating money to a charity for animal welfare.

'The Betty White Show' Star Leaves Fans With Touching Message Before Death

The veteran actress always appreciated her fans, and it showed through a special message she filmed ten days before she passed on. The Blast reported that the documentary was supposed to be for her century-age celebration but plans changed with her unexpected demise. 

According to ET, producer Steve Boettcher had been working on the film titled "Betty White: A Celebration," which would detail the five-time Emmy Award winner's achievements. The living message to her fans was that she genuinely wanted to thank them for their unwavering love and support over the years.

Unfortunately, the cause of death of the late TV personality was revealed to be a stroke, per The Blast. The "Life with Elizabeth" star reportedly suffered a stroke six days before her death, officially listed as a "cerebrovascular accident."

In the document obtained by the publication, it was also revealed that the iconic actress was cremated.
